Now that it's getting into the time of year where you send Christmas or holiday cards, this DIY project is perfect for incorporating your kids into your Christmas cards. This project is also much cheaper than buying a card set and it gives it a unique look. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Crafty Morning.
For this project, you will need:
-- Blank cards
-- Black permanent marker
-- Finger paint (you can find this at a craft store)
-- Bottle caps
Draw the wire on the blank cards
Use the permanent marker to draw the wire for the lights on the blank cards. Draw a swirly line and then add small squares to the line for the lightbulbs, as shown in the picture above.
Finger paint the lights on the card
Pour the finger paint in the bottle caps. Then, dip your finger or your child's finger in the finger paint and dab it on the card where you drew the squares for the lightbulbs. Repeat this step with different colors to make a colorful string of lights.
Add your favorite holiday or Christmas message and send to a loved one!
