DIY pinecone gnomes
Could DIY get any cuter than these freaking adorable pinecone gnomes?! I think the answer is no, because these gnomes are probably the cutest thing to ever be created. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at We Bloom Here.

Materials

For this project, you will need:
-- Pinecones (you can use real or fake ones)
-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
-- Felt
-- Needle and thread (or fabric glue if you aren't savvy with a needle and thread)
-- Newspaper
-- Scissors
-- 1" wooden beads with 3/8th inch holes (you can find these online)
-- Fine black permanent marker
-- Pipe cleaners
You can the majority of these items at a craft store.

Make the felt hats

Use a piece of newspaper to make a pattern for the felt hats, as shown in the picture above. Then, use the scissors to cut out the felt in the shape of the newspaper pattern. Use the needle and thread to attach the two sides of the felt to make a small hat. You can use fabric glue instead if you aren't comfortable using a needle and thread.

Make the body of the gnomes

Cut out a small heart shape from the felt for the feet of the gnomes. Use the hot-glue gun to glue the felt feet to the bottom of the pinecone. Then, glue a wooden bead to the top of the pinecone for the head of the gnome, as shown in the picture.

Assemble the gnomes

Use the hot-glue gun to glue the felt hats onto the top of the wooden beads. Cut the pipe cleaners into small pieces and form into small arms. Then, glue them to the sides of the pinecones. Cut out small mittens for the hands and glue them on the end of the pipe cleaners. Last, but not least, draw a face on your gnome using a fine permanent marker.

Set out your adorable pinecone gnomes for everyone to enjoy!
