Rather than hit the message board with a quick comment, I have decided to break the game down and help my fellow Vinglers choose the right team in their daily pick em' leagues.
The Warriors are off the the best start in NBA history with a 22-0 record. 2015 NBA MVP Stephen Curry has been sensational this year, posting averages of 32 points and 6 assists per game. He is on fire from down as well, knocking down 5 threes per game on 47% shooting.
While I could spend all day talking about Curry, it's important that we discuss the value of the role players on the team. Draymond Green has been one of the most efficient post players in the league this year. Rising Star Klay Thompson's numbers may be down this year, but he is still one of the best two way shooting guards in the NBA.
The Pacers stand are 12-7 to start the year. The team is led by NBA superstar Paul George. PG13 is one of the most versatile players in the NBA as he can play small or power forward at a high level. The team is also quite dangerous at home, posting a 6-2 record to start the year. Indiana also likes to play "small ball" as well, so they are comfortable playing at a fast pace.
While the Pacers are solid at home, it's very hard to see them winning this game tonight. George Hill will have a lot of trouble guarding Curry, so the double teams will have to come. In the early part of the season, The Warriors have punished teams with questionable guard play, I expect much of the same tonight.
