Kagune (赫子, red child) is a ghoul's predatory organ and functions as their weapon and claws. It is usually as red as blood, but firm and sturdy. When released, a ghoul's physique is strengthened, they are more resilient and their mobility heightens. A Kagune is composed of Rc cells, which flow just like blood, can become as solid as teeth and can be described as "liquid muscles". The Rc cells are released from akakuhou piercing the skin, and the released RC cells form the Kagune. A Kagune can be repeatedly hardened and softened at will by the ghoul.

Well if you've read, and have been keeping up with the manga, then "Tokyo Ghoul Re" is what's next after Tokyo Ghoul in the manga. Anime version, it is Tokyo Ghoul then Tokyo Ghoul Root A (the 2nd season). But in the anime Root A is still in the first "season" of the manga. So this new third season would be the animation of RE since season 2 ended where Tokyo Ghoul the manga ended. Make sense~?☆ sorry if that was too much to read~ @DavidPap
