Often in news we are quick to share the bad and hesitant to share the good. Today, lets switch it up.
2 Chainz and his Tru Foundation visited a disabled veteran in Palmetto on Saturday (Dec. 5) and surprised them with new furniture. He even offered to pay her rent for an entire year.
“It’s hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything by myself being a single parent,” Dierdre Plater tells CBS 46. “I am on a fixed income.” Plater, who recently had surgery and has been looking for a job for nearly a year, was overwhelmed by the gesture of kindness. “I love to see stuff like this happen for other people, but I never thought it would happen to me.”
The Atlanta native used the Dabbin For Sweaters collection to fund the project. CBS 46 reports that 2 Chainz is planning to use additional proceeds to help other families in need.
Score one for the good guys.
