With the completion of Match Day 6 in the Champions League today, we've got all the teams moving on to the knockout stages! Here's who solidified their place today.
Group E - Barcelona, Roma advance
Everyone expected Barcelona to advance, and they tied with Leverkusen to finish first in the group today. Leverkusen and Roma actually finished equal with 6 points but Roma advance on head to head. It's a very low amount of points to have qualified with but they won't care, as Leverkusen heads to the Europa League and BATE are out.
Group F - Bayern Munich, Arsenal advance
What a performance by Arsenal! They knew coming in that they had to win by at least 2 goals finish ahead of Olympiacos and they smashed the Greeks 3-0 to move on. Bayern had no trouble and beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0. Arsenal will be thrilled to have made their comeback and have a spot in the last 16.
Group G - Chelsea, Dinamo Kiev advance
Chelsea save face with a 2-0 win over Porto as the Ukrainians take advantage of Porto's poor performances and shock everyone by advancing. This was a huge win for Chelsea and Porto will be very disappointed to have missed out in what was not a terribly difficult group. Minnows Maccabi Tel-Aviv finished the group last with 0 points and a -15 goal differential.
Group H - Zenit, Gent advance
A very surprising group, as Valencia and Lyon both miss out. Zenit will have liked their chances coming in but Gent are a real surprise, as the Belgians beat Zenit to finish second in the group. Valencia missed their chance but will move to the Europa League, while Lyon are sent packing.
