This DIY project is absolutely perfect for all you crafters out there who have a ton of scrap ribbon laying around. You don't want to throw the scrap ribbon away, but you don't know what to do with all of the scrap ribbon. Well, now that problem is fixed with this DIY scrap ribbon tree ornament! This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderfully creative people at Fireflies and Mudpies.
For this project, you will need:
-- Scrap ribbon
-- Craft glue or hot-glue gun and glue sticks
You can find these items at a craft store.
Tie the ribbons around the stick
Take the pieces of ribbon and tie them around the stick. Repeat this step until the entire stick is covered with ribbon.
Create the tree shape
Take the scissors and cut the edges of ribbon at a slant to make the perfect Christmas tree shape. Then, take a piece of twine and wrap it around the top of the stick and tie it to make a holder for the ornaments. Dab a little bit of craft glue to the twine so that the holder doesn't fall out when you hang it on your Christmas tree.
Hang these cute tree ornaments on your holiday tree and enjoy!
