Should France Turn off the Internet?

News Community Discussion time! This one relates to all the crazy things that have been happening over the past several weeks.
After the Paris bombing, an investigation began. May suggested that the terrorists communicated through Playstation (though that turned out not to be true). But we do know they used the internet as a tool to communicate.

And ISIS uses online platforms to recruit and train.

After the bombings the french police even went out of their way to add restrictions to the internet in France, stating that it was a threat to the country.

But, French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls turned down the ban. "A ban of Wi-Fi is not a course of action envisaged."
"Internet is a freedom, is an extraordinary means of communication between people, it is a benefit to the economy," Valls added.

What do you think? Is Internet is a free communication we should all be able to use without limit? Or is limiting it temporarily for regular citizens a good strategy to stop ISIS?

What are the benefits/problems of having the internet limited?
In my opinion, whether to limit, or turn off the wifi / internet wouldn't really make any difference to those who wanted to do harm to others. They will always find a way or means to do so.
I'm a Muslim. I hate ISIS. they tarnished our religion. killed us and others alike now freedom is jeopardised by their actions too ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ˜ก
I think more than just 'limiting communication' avenues is necessary. Banning the internet will not put an end to ISIS recruitment or communication. The most beneficial tool against terrorism is education, and not the kind that teaches a person to defend him/herself or spot suspicious activity. The kind of education and community where people don't feel afraid or isolated, that brings people together rather than separates them. Bringing your Muslim friends and their families closer to you and showing your love for them more will keep them engaged and comfortable. Isolating Muslims and putting bans and restrictions on the Islamic faith will drive people right into the arms of terrorists because they will say, 'yes, I was ostracized, too, they hate me, too. Come let us show them who we can be.' Celebrating what people have in common and embracing differences is how you end terrorism.
Those that want to perform terrorist acts will find a way to do so, regardless of the internet or other communication devices. It might take longer, but it will eventually get done. Evil is evil. They didn't have internet years ago, but terrorism happened then too.
Yeah ISIS would be slightly inconvenienced but they'd still be able to communicate. they'd cripple the rest of the nation though. pos systems that require authorization via internet, government communications, etc etc bad idea

Top Reasons to Choose Flutter for Mobile App Development
In this time driven, fast-paced and competitive world, mobile apps have been a part of our life. According to research, around 51% of people check their phones and open mobile apps 1 to 10 times a day. For mobile app development company trusts flutter because it is faster, easy and saves time and money. Flutter is a mobile UI framework that is free and open source. Flutter platform to build โ€˜Create Once, Use Anywhereโ€™ UI components, that means a codebase can be used to create a frontend for multiple platforms such as Android and iOS. There are about 8 million apps in the Google Play store, 2.2 million in the Apple App Store, 669K in the Windows Store, and 600K in the Amazon Appstore. According to a PWC report, the on-demand economy revenue which was $14 Billion in 2014 will reach $335 Billion by the time we enter 2025. (source) Why Choose Flutter for Mobile App Development If there are any questions in your mind related to why flutter is the best software development kit for application development, here is the answer to those questions. 1. Easy to Learn If you are a mobile application developer then learning flutter will be easy as falling off a log for you. Flutter uses the same development environment like other platforms such as iOS and Android as a container, row, flex, and column. If you know object-oriented programming languages and can manage to work with them then the language that is used in a flutter that is โ€œDartโ€ will be easy to understand for you. Another benefit of flutter is, it has amazing documentation. 2. Faster Performance Flutter is very fast compared to other hybrid frameworks. There are other faster frameworks but flutter provides standard performance. Flutter does not use the java-script bridge to link and run code and it also does not use web-view to display. Since a code tested on one platform doesnโ€™t need testing for another, Flutter saves around 50% of the testing time thus ensuring a faster time-to-market of the app. 3. Save Time and Money Flutter decrease the time to develop a new feature in an app from 1 month to 2 weeks. Native app development is much time consuming and costs higher compared to flutter app development. Without compromising with the quality it makes cross-platform app development possible. Flutter is like a game-changer for the app owners who need a cross-platform app. But they are afraid because anything less than native will impact their business. 4. Excellent Documentation and Enough Libraries In spite of being a newcomer, flutter has ample libraries that can help you to achieve any functionality in your app. Now, onboarding developers are easy with flutter that gives you the freedom to choose developers for your app. Google has prepared excellent documentation for a flutter with every feature, functionality and practice in the enormous detailed documentation. It will make it easy for new developers to get on board swiftly. 5. Better UI Capabilities Flutter allows you to create an app using a widget combination. So, it could be a placeholder for Drawer, Appbar, Snackbar, Scaffold, etc. Flutterโ€™s powerful interfaces will give your app look like rich experience and mature branding. The navigational patterns, functional reactive framework, rich fonts and platform-specific scrolling, and much more. With the help of flutter, you can build breathtaking apps. Breathtaking apps in terms of UI design and visual appeal, with its customizable Widgets. 6. Easy Error Handling When an error occurs in any app the whole mobile app stops working and it makes the developerโ€™s task difficult to identify where the error is and how to rectify it. But flutter does not work like this. It uses multiple widgets and by combining them creates the whole application. In case if there is an error in a particular widget then only that widget and its sub-part are affected and other things work fine. The error message is only shown at that particular location. It helps to treat mistakes easily and with great ease. 7. Build Versatile Apps Flutter is used for building apps in various industries for impressive UI such as healthcare, Entertainment, social, utility, education, e-Commerce. Flutter has a bunch of built-in widgets that are merged to create an app like a grocery delivery app. For building user interface (UI) blocks, this set of widgets is customized. Conclusion Flutter helps you to complete your app development faster than your competitors so that you can lead the market with an on-time product. Flutter has some wonderful privileges to cross-platform mobile app development. If your company is planning to develop a mobile app for Android and iOS platforms, then Flutter for UI creation will be a great choice.
5 of the Most Important Reactions to the French Terrorist Attacks
2 days ago France experienced a great tragedy... Terrorists across the city killed over 130 people. With the incredibly awful events that happened this weekend, it's easy to see the ripple effect of reactions. People around the world reacted to this event strongly. And here are the most important ones... according to me. France The country effected by this tragedy is making some really big steps. Not only are they stepping up security in the city, around the country, but they are also launching airstrikes on ISIS. Recently they launched fighter jets in their biggest raids in Syria to date, targeting the Islamic Stateโ€™s stronghold in Raqqa. Over 20 bombs were dropped. Obama Obama held a press conference after the event. And evoking thoughts and feelings of the 9/11 tragedy the same thoughts change sympathy: "Weโ€™ve gone through these kinds of episodes ourselves. And whenever these kinds of attacks happened, weโ€™ve always been able to count on the French people to stand with us. They have been an extraordinary counterterrorism partner, and we intend to be there with them in that same fashion." Essentially: America stands with France. Social Media Is it just me or is your Facebook feed flooded with images, thoughts, and pictures related to the. In My twitter feed is also blown up with the hashtags. Three themes I've seen: The Pray for Paris People - these people are the vast majority, sending sentiments of sympathy. The 'If Only' People - these are the people that have to bring about another point and use France as a example. If only they had guns, if only they had better security, if only we had stopped ISIS earlier. The Other Issue People - similar to the if only people, these social media people have thoughts on another issue that they use Paris to bring up. What about the refugees! What about the attack in Beirut! What about... There also seems to be a big change in profile pictures. (Thanks Facebook!) What are your thoughts on the profile picture change? Anonymous A hacker group, Anonymous came forward stating they are officially in War with ISIS. Ok, so I'm normally not a fan of hackers but they seem like they are terrifying. And many news organizations are intrigued by their decision. To date these self-proclaimed "hacktivists" claim to have destroyed 149 Islamic State-linked websites and flagged roughly 101,000 Twitter accounts and 5,900 propaganda videos. Many people around the world are questioning this groups capabilities, but who knows? It sure is fun to get behind a group of masked hackers. Helpers Around the World A famous Mr. Rogers quote is, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" So where are the helpers from the Paris Attacks? Red Cross went into full swing helping and providing medical assistance for those in the disaster. The French National Blood Service took donations outside of France. Taxi cabs in Paris offered free rides home. Little helpers all over the city put up signs and candles. #PorteOuverte was the hashtag used to reach out and house those Parisians all over the world. And these won't be the only reactions. I'm sure we will experience more in the future. And we have our own reaction. @ButterflyBlu @InPlainSight @carenabobo @Animaniafreak @alywoah @gabbycalzada @LeticiaMendez @vonchio @LunaCordero @ImUrBestFriend @netchtiBates @fallenangeljess @kat121 @MarjorieSound @vonchio @kanghyobin @KalyanMadoori @starsun7 @CreeTheOtaku @shantalcamara @christianmordi @KathyCrew @TessStevens @TingThang @CassidyRoush @jorekawaii What was your reaction to the French terrorist attacks?
