Check Out These Cheese-Free Versions of The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy
We can all admit that the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars movies are pretty terrible. They were really cheesy and almost entirely about Trade Negotiations. It was like going in to watch a movie about World War 2 but every scene was a group of people not involved with the war talking about how they're going to get their milk delivered or something.
Over the years -- yes, even before the pre-hype train Star Wars: The Force Awakens life we are currently living in (DID I TELL YOU THE MOVIE COMES OUT AT THE END OF THIS WEEK) -- people have been reediting the prequel movies in order to be more enjoyable. And that didn't stop just because a new one is coming out soon (FRIDAY, HELLO, FRIDAY).
YouTuber JeremyMWest-Esquire decided to re-edit each movie into something that he likes to call the "Anti-Cheese" versions of the films. He went through each of the films cutting down and cutting out things that he felt made the movies super cheesy and terrible. He outlines all the changes he made in the video's descriptions and they're all pretty interesting to read through.

The Phantom Menace

Even though he only shares a brief list, I think it's pretty interesting to check out. I didn't know that there was so much wrong with this one other than the fact that it just felt off. It's really interesting to see how much time and thought he has put into this when it comes to editing down The Phantom Menace.
And I don't know if this'll make me lose some Star Wars cred but I think I might be the only one who really enjoyed all that battle droid dialogue. There's something really funny to me about incompetent robots and it was fun to have a weird little kid laugh every now and then. But if it's to add to the pleasurability of the movie, then, I guess I'll just have to live with it, right?

Attack of the Clones

This list of edits isn't as intensive as the last one. But I still think it's really cool that he left some of the stuff here for us to look out for. Honestly, it's an impressive feat and I can't believe he had the ability to pull it off. Part of me wonders how much time and effort he put into editing movies down to their core.

Revenge of the Sith

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said but I will add that I enjoy the last thing on this list. "Jar Jar is removed from Padme's funeral just because". It's funny to me that the hate for that character is so deep that it results in the character being taken out of the movie all together. There's a little bit of humor in the way these cuts are outlined. Instead of just saying what has been taken out there's a little bit of sarcasm to the stuff that he lists. "Padme dying because she lost the will to live is dumb and gone".
Some of the stuff from the earlier cut lists are a bit more serious but it seems like by the time he got to editing this one down he had enough of having to watch the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy over and over again. I don't blame you, man. You have a stronger will than I do.
