Gary Neville, the newly appointed head coach of Valencia CF, has given an iPad to each and every one of his players.
Because he's not fluent in Spanish!
Valencia's assistant coach, Miguel Ángel Angulo said,
"He has given an iPad to each player to help them follow training and different actions during games. He is doing better than I expected. I thought the language barrier would be more of a problem. Gary has already started to speak a little Spanish and he is improving quickly. There is a good understanding with the players asking him or me what is wanted. It won’t take long before we can demonstrate the style of football that we want."
This is his first head coaching job. He came in at a difficult time for Valencia, after former coach Nuno Espírito Santo was fired last month for his poor performance.
For those of you who don't know Gary Neville, he is one of the greatest football player in England. He has been a one-club man for Manchester United during his entire professional career, which lasted from 1992 till 2011. He was also the first-choice right back for England for over ten years.
Over his entire career, he won a total of twenty trophies, including eight Premier League titles and two Champions League titles.
Well I know Steve approves...
But do you guys think giving iPads to his players will help with communication?
