I remember reading someone's card about knowing what is your trigger food. I believe that it was saying that trigger foods are the type of foods that make it so easy for you to gain fat but hard to get rid of. Everyone has their own trigger, yet some can be similar.
Most of my triggers revolve around sweets. as a kid who was a bit on the heavy side, I loved to eat all kinds of sugary foods and drinks. I'm talking about Cakes, Candy, Cookies, Pie; you name it, I ate it! I always thought it was okay as long as I brushed my teeth, because my mom is a dental assistant and all she talk about was brushing and flossing my teeth. but as I grown older, my metabolism kick in and I shed most of it off. I am still not quite where I want to be, so I'm learning to cut down on them and trying to eat healthy foods. Don't get me wrong (I can eat like a bottomless pit when it comes to sweets), but I struggle all the time with trying to resist eating more than my fair share of the cake. I just take it one day at a time.
I definitely have a trigger food and for me that's bread. I need to be easy on the carbs, or I'll gain weight very quickly. I've learned cut most fast-digesting carbs out and have them on occasionally.
@XavierLopez @alywoah also I think it's really cool how you two are sharing your health and fitness journeys on here. I want to do that too once I get my butt in gear and make enough time for exercising again :)
Great card @XavierLopez. I totally have those foods where it's like, once I start I can't stop... you don't wanna know how long it takes me to go through a box of Oreos (hint: not long at all). Lol. But you're right, it's important to identify them so you can be sure not to have too much of them in the house! It's always easier to fight a bad habit once you know what it is :)
well I am glad that both of you enjoy my card. @AlloBaber you inspired me to post this up here because you are always sharing advice that always help me, so thought I'd give back to the community. and well, if you want to get your butt into gear about exercising again; what works for me, I always do an exercise before I go to bed, and at least 10 minutes before I get ready for work. @alywoah thank you for sharing that with me. Does different bread have different effects on you? like does wheat bread have less effects on you than flour bread?
