It's the holiday season, which means we non-stop re-runs of some of our favorite Christmas themed films.
Some love "A Christmas Story," or "Miracle on 34th Street" but I look forward to "Elf." I know it's not your conventional joy-filled x-mas film, but it's hilarious and loosely based around Christmas, which is good enough for me.
For those of you who love the film like I do, I'm sure you have seen it a million times. With that being said, I'm sure there are a couple things you don't know about the film. Below are three little known facts about the Will Ferrell classic.

When the movie script was first presented Jim Carrey was attached as the person they wanted as the lead.

Will Ferrell actually was scared by the Jack-In-The Box scene. The producer had a manual switch that he controlled and released by choice to create a genuine reaction from Ferrell.

In 2013, Will Ferrell turned down 29 million dollars to do a "Elf 2" sequel.
