Over the past year, Martin Shkreli has been in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons.
Sure, Shkreli has become a huge success financially, but the methods to his madness has everyone uncomfortable with his presence. Even the Wu-Tang clan issued a statement basically apologizing to their fans for selling him their one of a kind unreleased album for 2 million bucks.
Things have come full circle for Shkreli though, as yesterday his questionable business habits landed him in jail. While Shkreli has posted bail, the company he works for has decided to cut ties, as Martin "resigned" from the position earlier today.
Here are some thoughtful words from his replacement, Ron Tilles:
“We wish to thank Martin for helping us build Turing Pharmaceuticals into the dynamic research focused company it is today, and wish him the best in his future endeavors. At the same time, I am very excited about the opportunity to guide Turing Pharmaceuticals forward.”
Shkreli strongly denies all charges of fraud: “Ponzi victims do not make money, yet Mr. Shkreli’s investors enjoyed strong results.”
The truth will come to the light in due time.
