And the skincare journey begins.
If you're not familiar with the popular skincare tool called a derma roller, it's time you get familiar and I'm here to help you do so. I ordered a derma roller about two weeks ago and last night was my first time using it. After watching several videos and tutorials on YouTube [see below], I became rather intrigued with the technique and results. Derma rolling, also known as micro-needling is supposed to help in removing wrinkles, dark spots, scars and stretch marks over a short period of time -- if consistent. It's supposedly less harmful than getting laser procedures done that does harm to your skin over long periods of time.
After washing my face clean and toning it with my witch hazel, I cleansed my derma roller in alcohol as advised and went to work on my problem areas. I rolled my face for a total of ten minutes and my face was left slightly red which comes from the tiny needles making small tears in your skin to fully repair it. I think last night went well and I plan to be consistent doing so every other night, three days a week. I will check in with my progress in about one month to let you guys know if I see any positive change. I'm all for amazing skin and trying new things to see what might work for me. If you're interested in trying out this new and ever so popular skincare routine, do your research before giving in and keep in mind, what works for someone else might not necessarily work for you.
Are you familiar with derma rolling? If so, would you give it a try?
