The one they call crazy Chapter 5
We traveled through the forest, spider webs and other.. bug like creatures landed on face. I swatted them away, hoping that wherever we were going, was close by. "Okay, enough with keeping me in the dark. Where exactly are we headed?" I asked him. "We're almost there, I promise it'll be great!" I pulled my hand back as he tried to pull it forward; suprisingly, he over powered me and I guess he didn't feel me struggle against him. He stopped abruptly, causing me to run into his back. "Okay, we're here now." I walked in front of him revealing a very beautiful sight. Even if it was just a bench in the middle of the forest. There was a fence separating the creek from where we stand, so you could here the flow of water next to us. "Wait... I thought you moved here last week or something... how did you find this place and not get lost?" "Oh, um... I've actually lived here for my whole life; I've just been home schooled." He announced. "Well that's a shocker. Why didn't you go to a public school?" I asked. He shrugged his sholders, "My mom always said it would be better if I stayed at home with her." I walked over to the lonely bench and sat down; hugging my knees, "Well I'm kinda glad you came to this school.." I mumbled. "Hmm? Did you say something? I didn't here you." He said. "I-I didn't say anything. I was talking to myself." I rested my chin on my knees and closed my eyes. I listened to the trees dancing and the wind singing. The wind was a little chilly, causing me to shiver a little. "Are you cold?" "N-no.. I'm fine. I don't need anything." He took his jacket off and placed it around my sholders. I tensed up as he placed it around me. "Really I don't need it, Namjoon." I slowly took the jacket off my sholders. He pushed it back on my sholders, "No, I can tell your cold, so keep it on." He forced the jacket back onto my sholders. I stopped resisting him, and allowed the jacket to loosely over my sholders. I closed my eyes again and focused on the sounds around me. Pure silence. "So, are you going to tell my why you left your house now?" Namjoon asked. "You're not going to let that go, are you...?" I sighed. Namjoon shrugged his sholders and gave me a witty smile. "What can I say? I'm curious." I hugged my legs tighter to my chest. "Fine. But you can't tell anyone about this, got it?" "I swear I won't tell a soul!"     ___________Flashback___________ I was in my room watching a kids show, while munching on some crackers. It was a Friday evening, one of my favorite days, because my mother was finally able to come home from work. My dad was in the living room, drinking bottle after bottle. He would occasionally yell at... one thing or another. Sometimes he would throw bottles at my door. I would flinch at the bottles breaking on my door; I thought that he would come barging into my room, yelling at me. The phone started ringing and I picked it up. "Eomma? Is that you? When are you going to be home? Appa is scaring me..." I wined. "Ah.. is he drinking again Hyeon? It'll be okay, just make sure your door is locked, okay honey?" My mom instructed. "Okay, my door is locked; but he keeps on yelling the same thing over and over." "...What exactly is he yelling?" "Umm... 'I'm going to kill you'..." I mumbled. My mom stayed silent as my dad broke more bottles on my door. "Okay, I'm about to walk in the door. I want you to stay in your room until I knock on your door. Understood?" She said. "Yes, Eomma." I hung up the phone as I placed my ear on my door. I heard my mom scolding my father. I was relived and walked back to my bed. I patiently sat on my bed. Waiting for my mom to knock on my door. But what happens was not what I expected.. I heard screams from the living room, and bottles crashing... slamming against something other than the walls. I stumbled off my bed and quickly unlocked my door; but cautiously opened it. I tip toed in the hall way, my footsteps slow and silent. I peered into the living room and saw my dad holding a broken beer bottle, blood dripping from the sharp end. I walked behind the couch, and looked over to my mom; she lay in a puddle of blood. Her skin slowly turning a bright white. "Appa! What happend?!" I dashed to my mother's side, trying to turn her over to examine her wounds. "Who told you that you could come out of your damn room!?" He kicked hard in the stomach, causing me to fly backwards. I groaned in pain, my back was shoved against the coffee table. Tears streamed down my face as my  father forcefully yanked my hair upward. "You're such a disobedient child, Hyeon. I think you need to be punished." He growled in a low monotone voice. He raised the broken bottle directly above my head. I shut my eyes tightly, waiting for the worst scenario possible. He chuckled lowly, and kneed me hard in the stomach. I gasped loudly as he held my head higher. "What's wrong Hyeon? Can take a little pain?" He aimed the bottle directly at my stomach and pierced me hard. I yelped in pain and he let go of my hair; I slammed myself over the coffee table, gasping for air. The rest of the day was a blur. All I remember is waking up the next day in excruciating pain, and tied to my bed. _________End flashback_________ Tears fell onto my cheeks as I wiped them away, "Crap.. I'm crying over useless things again..." I rubbed my eyes against my sleeve and sniffled. "I'm... I'm so sorry Hyeon-ssi. I didn't know it was that bad..." Namjoon mumbled. I hid my face in my knees, "Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything to me." He stood up, he gazed fixed on me. "But your father is a murderer! How do you still live with him?" "N-no matter where I go, he always finds me..." I studered. I pulled out a cigarette, and lighter. Namjoon looked at me like I was crazy. "What? Do you want one?" I asked. He shook his head at me and stared. "Make me a promise." "What do you want?" He took a deep breath in, "Promise me... Promise me, you'll stop smoking. For yourself and me." I looked off to the creek and sighed. "I promise." He smiled. "Good."
