6 Amazing Things Adele Said In Her TIME Interview

Adele.

She's the biggest name in music entering her third million dollar selling week in the United States. Her album '25' is arguably the most popular album of all time and yet Adele remains humble. She's a class act and has been enjoying her time in the spot light after taking a four year break to get a new boyfriend, have a child, quit smoking, and fix her vocal cords. She's happy and vibrant with a new look showing off her lost weight and untraditional beauty. Adele is about to set off on her European and North American tours but for now is only promoting the album, as if it doesn't have enough press as it is.
TIME magazine captured Adele, a raw and unapologetic gem shining brighter than ever.

On Motherhood

"He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much. And I’ve always liked myself. I’ve never not liked myself. I don’t have hangups like that. But I’m so proud of myself that I made him in my belly. Cooked him in my belly and then he came out of me! This human who’s suddenly walking around and doing his own thing. I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes… Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what."

On Social Media

"Privacy is key to being able to write a real record, whether people like it or not. My life has changed so much, but I’ve made the realest record I can make, and it’s the real part of me. How am I supposed to write a real record if I’m waiting for half a million likes on a f—ing photo? That ain’t real."

On Emotions

"The fact that I’m not shy or embarrassed to be falling apart. Everyone falls apart, I think. A lot of people try to be brave and not shed a tear. Sometimes when you know someone else feels as s— as you do, or approaches things in a certain way just like you do, it makes you feel better about yourself. Even though my music is melancholy, there’s also joy in that. I hope I do bring joy to people’s lives, and not just sadness, but I think there’s there’s a comfort in it. But I honestly don’t know. If I knew, I would bottle it, and sell it to everyone else."

On Parenting

"I’m very self-conscious that I have a kid, and I don’t want him being one of those dickheads, who grows up being, like, 'Driver, driver!' She snaps her fingers. 'I have no clean clothes!' Well, have you washed them? I really don’t want him growing up like that. I’m very conscious of it."

On Fellow Artists

"I’m not throwing shade at anybody, but when you have a six-month build up, don’t expect me to be there the day your album comes out, because I’m bored. It doesn’t matter how amazing it is. You put seven songs out. I’ve heard the album. I’ve heard everything you want to say about it. I’ve heard it all over radio. Don’t expect me to not lose interest before it’s even happened."

On Anxiety

"I feel uncomfortable being famous. How long should I feel like that? Because if you’re going to keep making music, there’s a 50-50 chance you’re going to be famous for the next 20 years. So do you want to be uncomfortable for 20 years, or do you want to just settle into it? I don’t want to have plastic surgery. I’m going to look like this forever. Deal with it. Once you deal with it, you feel more calm about it."

aww love her
She's so normal and real. We're only a couple years different in age. We both have a son. It just seems like she's not like other celebrities like Beyoncé and such (whom I have nothing against!!) I just really like that she seems to worry about the same crap that I do, in the same ways. Did you read this, @nicolejb?

Navigating Insurance in a Divorce
The end of a marriage introduces a host of new challenges to both of your lives. Navigating all the paperwork and division of assets can become quickly overwhelming at a time where your emotions are overtaxed and your future unclear. Fortunately, you have help. Dividing and finding new insurance policies for both of you is an often neglected matter to sort through, but it’s wise to include this topic of discussion early on in the process. Read on for important tips when it comes to handling your insurance policies in a divorce in order to save the both of you a bigger financial headache later on. Make Decisions Early Just like determining who gets your fine china in the divorce, make sure that before filing any divorce or separation paperwork that your insurance directives are clear and fair for all parties. Insurance coverage varies by several factors, including income status, residential status, marital status and other variables. It is likely best to set up your own insurance policy in the event of a divorce no matter what, so start to search around and request insurance quotes from reputable companies in your area. Above all, carefully look over your divorce decree before signing, as it will be challenging to change later on. Health Insurance Maintaining personal health insurance without a lapse in coverage is crucial to avoid both any expensive medical emergencies and any penalties at tax time for the uninsured. If your health insurance policy was covered by your spouse’s employer, don’t wait to find a new plan. Some states allow non-family members to be on a health insurance plan, while others do not. Check your state’s policy, or discuss with your soon to be ex spouse about what options are feasible for you. You may be able to remain covered on their plan, provided you pay for it yourself through COBRA for up to three years. If you or your spouse were covered by a policy provided through your employer, you’ll no longer be obligated to provide the coverage opportunity to them. Auto Insurance Once you’ve decided who gets which vehicle, you will both need your own car insurance policies. Your insurance agent will need to be notified about the divorce so they can remove your spouse as a covered driver on the policy. It’s possible that you will pay more for your own policy, as many carriers provide discounts for multiple cars on the same policy or for married couples. If you need to find your own policy, shop around for quotes from different agencies in order to get the best deal. If you have teenage drivers, decide whose policy will cover them. Most often, policies will cover families at the same residential address, so whomever they primarily live with. In some cases, they will need to be insured on both parents’ policies. Check with your agent to be sure of what your circumstances will require. Life Insurance If either of you have a life insurance policy, you’ve likely named your spouse as the primary beneficiary. Many will choose to keep things this way, especially if there are children involved. In the event of your death, a life insurance policy could be used to provide financial assistance to your children through tuition or child support payments. Life insurance is perhaps the insurance policy most overlooked in the event of a divorce. In fact, it’s so often neglected in divorce paperwork that many states will automatically dismiss an ex-spouse as the primary beneficiary during a divorce. Talk with your insurance agent or other financial advisor to determine what the best course of action will be for you and your situation. You may need to complete additional forms to either maintain your ex-spouse as beneficiary, or to transfer those rights to another individual. Home Insurance In most divorces, at least one partner will need to change residences. Depending on who keeps the primary home or residence, you will need to make changes to your homeowner insurance policies, including your possessions and other assets. If keeping the family home, your policy can be adjusted to include your name only. If you’re looking for a new place to live and are considering an apartment or lease, start researching renter’s insurance. Renter’s insurance will provide coverage for your possessions that are lost or damaged through vandalism, fire or theft. You will also be covered in case a visitor becomes injured, paying a portion of their medical fees. Divorce is something nobody wants to go through, but with careful consideration of your finances and life circumstances, you can better manage all the changes involved in going from a couple to a single individual. Keep in touch with a qualified insurance agent to make sure you’re not missing any details and maintain adequate coverage, so you don’t face any financial setbacks in the future.
What You Might be Doing That is Weakening Your Immune System and How to Boost it Back Up
Now more than ever people are searching for ways to boost and maintain their immune systems to protect their overall health. With pandemic fears and the holiday season all bundling into one, though, you might need more than just some vitamin C to keep your body moving. Maybe you know immunity is important, but have no idea where to start in the journey to supporting your health. The first step is to acknowledge things that might be stressing your natural defense systems and weakening your body. Next, you want to focus on foods and lifestyle habits that will keep you in the shape you want to be. What Weakens the Immune System You may be consuming green superfood powder and protein shakes which helps, but that’s not all you have to do to have a strong immune system.. In fact, a large part of it is knowing what can suppress your immune system and how to avoid the triggers. One major contributor to sickness and vulnerability is a lack of sleep. Sleep is when your body is able to rest and recover, repair damaged cells, digest food, and restore your body's natural hormone levels. Without proper sleep, certain systems might be running on fumes and taxing your ability to fight off illness. Vitamin C gets a lot of attention, but vitamin D is another incredibly important part of building up your body because it supports your bones and blood cells. Even spending too much time inside can make you more susceptible to infection. The main reason outdoors can help is because sunlight activates T-cells in your body, which are responsible for fighting all types of nasty microscopic invaders. Is Your Immune System Compromised? Sometimes it can be hard to tell if all your little bodily annoyances during the day actually add up to a larger problem. There are a few tell-tale signs you can look for that signal your body is struggling with immunity and might need a little help to get back to healthy levels. Keep an eye on your stress levels because when they get out of control, it could mean bad news for your white blood cells. Stress produces corticoids, which can cause inflammation, and decreases your body's lymphocyte count, which are the cells that fight infection. Stomach issues are another good indicator of immune stress because seventy percent of your immune system is located in your gut! All of the bacteria that live in your digestive tract actually help to protect your insides and fight off unwanted intruders. How to Boost Immunity Supplements can be a great route to boost your body's response, but if you don't quite have the budget for a cabinet full of pills and potions, food works just as well! If you focus on eating immune supporting foods, you'll be providing the vitamins and nutrition your body needs in a form that's easy to break down and absorb. The first classic group to focus on is citrus fruits because of their high vitamin C content. Another great source of this vitamin that also sports a healthy helping of beta carotene, which turns into vitamin A after you eat it, is red bell peppers. Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables provide more helpful options because they're not only full of vitamins, but also fiber and antioxidants. Fiber rich foods can help to keep your bowels moving regularly and prevent any buildup of bad bacteria in a blocked area of your digestive tract. Aside from food, you can focus on lifestyle changes such as cutting out sugar from your diet, staying hydrated throughout the day, and starting a moderate exercise routine. You can even start meditating or practicing yoga every day to help release bad chemicals from your muscles and keep your stress from getting out of control. Creating healthy habits that become second nature is the best way to defend yourself against a suppressed immune system. If you're looking to boost your immunity, be aware of what can harm you and focus on eating right and developing healthy routines.
See The Best Adele Doppelgänger
Meet Adele 2.0 : Ellinor Helborg Is Adele on the left or the right? That's just how shockingly similar Adele and this fan look alike. Meet Eleanor Helborg, a 22-year-old from Sweden. The Adele doppelgänger has an Instagram full of Adele inspired makeup looks and it's extremely uncanny how she looks identical to the British pop superstar. Fans from around the world have flocked to Helborg's Instagram just to take a glimpse themselves. Her bio includes the comment, "like to put makeup on my face from time to time nothing weird about it". In this instance though, it's impressive at how transformative makeup can do to a person's face. Though Helborg said how much she adores Adele, Helborg stands as an individual. "I do not strive to look like her, or anyone else. I am my own person," Helborg wrote in a post,"I have my own face and I look like me. If you think I look like a certain person that's fine, but arguing about who I do or do not look like is pointless. Telling me or other people in the comments I don't look like Adele means nothing, because that is not who I am trying to be. I am my own person." After scrolling through these pictures, I believe her eyes are a huge selling point in her Adele appearance. From her thick eye liner to her contoured cheek bones, Helborg has mastered this look. Really though, Helborg could totally be a stunt double for Adele if Adele ever wanted to be in the movies. Or Helborg could start a business where people hire her to be Adele at birthday parties. She might as well milk it for all its worth. Do you think Helborg looks like Adele?
