DIY cinnamon maple bourbon sour
One of my favorite parts about the holidays is all of the delicious holiday-inspired drinks that you can make to enjoy during a family dinner or while watching a fun holiday movie. This cinnamon maple bourbon sour recipe comes from the wonderful people at So... Let's Hang Out.

Materials

For this drink, you will need:
-- 1/2 cup maple syrup
-- 1 cinnamon stick
-- 2 shots of bourbon
-- Juice from 1 squeezed lemon
-- Ice
-- Lemon wedge, for garnish
-- Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
-- Saucepan
You can find all of these items at a grocery/liquor store.

Make the cinnamon maple syrup

In a saucepan, mix the maple syrup and a cinnamon stick and heat on low heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Then, allow the syrup to simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool back to room temp. Pour the syrup mixture in a bottle or shaker.

Make the cinnamon maple bourbon sour

Add the bourbon, lemon juice and maple syrup mixture to a cocktail shaker and shake until the entire mixture is completely mixed. Pour the drink over ice and add the garnishes if you want.

Enjoy this delicious holiday drink!

I just open my maple syrup and was wondering what to use rest for besides pancakes. I made some fudge and this would be perfect
