6 Vintage Photos Of New Year's Eve In New York City

New York, New York.

What's not to love? We all know New York is the best place in the world, especially on New Year's Eve. For years people have traveled both near and far to witness the ball drop when the clock hits midnight. Although I have yet to witness the ball drop in person, I grew up watching the ball drop on television and I know the experience has to be twenty times better in person. Just being in New York will give you a rush of adrenaline.
Wherever you go, it will be crowded -- but that's the beauty of it all, having the opportunity to be surrounded by such a diverse group of people. Several people gather in Times Square to watch the ball drop on the last day of the year, but there are so many other things you can get into on New Years Eve. It's been a tradition for years, literally -- and these vintage photos are proof that being in the best city in the world on the last day of the year is always a good idea. Keep scrolling to see how people have been partying for years in New York City on the last day of the year. It's lit.
