Interactive Play: FF7: The Great Escape
After blowing up the reactor, we all quickly split up and made our way to the train. Along the way, I ran into "Flower girl" (who will all know is Aeris or Aerith or Aeris?) and I promptly bought a flower from her because, hey you never know when you might need a flower, right?
But after that I was immediately surrounded by SOLDIERs. I'm sure that stands for something/I got their names wrong. It quickly became too much for Cloud to handle so if you swipe right... You can see he made a jump from the top of that bridge thing to the train! Sometimes I forget that Cloud is such a badass. Spiky hair all flowing and jumping around and stuff with his big block arms.
And when he got on the train of course he goes on to say something absolutely ridiculous. "Looks like I'm a little late."
It's funny in that "this isn't 90s era action movie is it?" kind of way. While Cloud and most of this game is written superbly, I feel like lines like these stick out like a sore thumb. It's not a terrible thing, mind you, just a silly thing that makes me chuckle. I hope for more moments like this in the future.
But speaking of the writing, I love how much time is spent on world building. While on the train, I learned a little more about Midgar and its geography. It seems that there's a lot I forgot about this game that I'm really excited about reliving and learning more and more from the game. It's just a testament to how great this game really is. Well, until next time guys! Hopefully the train ride goes smoothly and I'll see y'all tomorrow!
If you guys want to catch up, here's Part 1 and Part 2!
