Chance may not have blessed us with a project during the holiday season but he did give back in a major way to his community.
The rapper teamed with Warmest Winter and Detroit-based non-profit The Empowerment Plan to fund and gift 1,000 EMPWR coats -- which double as sleeping bags -- to give to those in need in his native city.
The Chicago MC managed to rake in $60,000 in donations for the city's homeless in 10 days.
"The #thirdmixtape didn't slide down the chimney," he tweeted the day after Christmas (Dec. 26). "In more important news, good people raised almost $60,000 in 10 days for #WarmestWinter," said Chance on Twitter.
According to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, more than 125,000 Chicagoans were homeless during the 2014-15 school year. Through Chance's campaign, there are different tiers of gifts for donations, including chances to win tickets to a Chicago Bulls or White Sox game. A $100 donation also offers the opportunity to win two tickets to see Chance The Rapper perform in 2016.

Isn't it great to see the hip-hop community active in helping people away from the music scene again?
