Recently I have completely submerged myself in the romance genre of anime. It all happend so fast...I didn't mean to... I guess seeing/feeling emotions, connections and love develop between two people along their journey and heal or just create happiness despite all the inevitable misunderstandings they will face as they learn how to understand one another... it just has some kind of appeal. It's just so fucking beautiful *sigh yet paradoxially and equally frusterating *sigh ♡Love is intriguing and relatable. I was going to list a lengthy list of all the ones I've watched thus far but I might lose half of you along the way so instead I have come up with an interesting idea and you are welcome to get in on the conversation. So since most of the ones I've encountered are pretty much about first loves I thought I would pick the ones that I resonated with mine thus giving you an idea of the vibe of the anime. Okay here it goes!
Suki-tte ii na yo
Say 'I love You'
I suppose what is most relatable is Mei and her personality, the way she deals with things. She is quiet but talks when it counts, tries to be understanding but has slight trust issues. It's just about trusting others again and learning about love and how to deal with everything that comes with it. This one seems slightly more mature than the others; I don't know why but I think Yamato and his personality have something to do with it.
Ōkami Shōjo to Kuro Ōji
Wolf Girl and Black Prince
Now this one I can resonate with the most with point blank period mainly because of the dynamic of their relationship. Kyouya being hot & cold and Erika just going through the emotional turmoil because of his words. The fact is is that she was able to see past his temperament and through to him thus having compassion, patience, and forgiveness...enduring.
Ao Haru Ride
Blue Spring Ride
This one was not what I was expecting but it turned out to be really great. Sometimes through relationships we are able to heal, learn, and grow in some unexpected ways even if things don't turn out the way you think they will. That message reflects my personal feelings on my first love and first loves in general.
Welp, that pretty much sums it up ^.^
