This is a perfect project for a gift or for making something for yourself to help you enjoy a nice warm bath this winter. This comes from the creative people at DIY Ready.
For this project, you will need:
-- 1 cup baking soda
-- 1/2 cup citric acid
-- 1/2 cup Epsom salts
-- 1 tsp. water
-- 2 tsp. essential oil
-- 3 tsp. oil (olive oil)
-- Food coloring (any color you want)
-- Glass jar
-- Bath bomb mold
You can find the majority of these items at a craft or grocery store.
Mix dry ingredients
Put all of the dry ingredients into the bowl and use the whisk to mix all of the dry ingredients until they are fully combined.
Mix wet ingredients
In a different container, mix all of the wet ingredients together with a spoon until they are fully combined.
Slowly mix all ingredients
Take the wet ingredients and pour a little bit into the dry mixture. Use the whisk to mix it completely. Then, continue adding and mixing until all of the wet ingredients are incorporated in the dry mixture.
Form the bath bombs
Take the bath bomb molds and put the mixture into the molds. Put a little more than will fit in the molds so that the bombs will be solid when you remove them from the molds. After you have put them in the molds, use a spoon to lightly tap on the mold to make sure the bath bombs won't stick on the molds.
Remove bath bombs from the molds
After about 1-2 days, remove the bath bombs from the molds.
Put the bath bombs in your next bath and enjoy!
