What better way to shake up your cleansing routine with a delicious sugar scrub? The best part is that you don't have to fork over a lot of money to buy sugar scrub — you can make your own at home. This DIY project comes from the creative people at Reason To Skip The Housework.
For this project, you will need:
-- 1/4 cup of coconut oil
-- 3/4 to 1 cup of granulated white sugar
-- 2-4 drops yellow or red food coloring depending on which batch you make
You can find the majority of these items at a superstore.
Make the sugar scrub
First, melt the coconut oil in the microwave by cooking it for about 20-35 seconds. Then, mix the sugar into the oil (if the mixture is too wet, add some more sugar). Add some food coloring to the sugar scrub — whichever color you want. Add the drops of essential oils to the sugar mixture for whichever scent you desire. Mix until all of the ingredients until fully combined.
Use this delicious sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin and enjoy!
