Keeping your Valentine themed wedding chic without being on the nose can be a bit tricky. Like, we get it, you're getting married on (or around) Valentine's Day, but does everything have to be covered in hearts and pink?
Take a look at this gorgeous brushed silver pedestal urn with a sphere of beautiful pink roses. Now, these aren't just roses and their not just pink. Let's take a look. First, you should notice that there are two styles of roses giving this floral decor a lot of movement, which is important when you're creating decor. You want pieces that will keep your eye's attention, keep it guessing, keep it busy. Lazy or boring designs are forgettable, un-noticeworthy. In the case here, you see both, English roses and Ecuadorian roses.
Second, the color isn't uniform. You see punches of bright fuchsia amongst delicate shades of pink and blush. So, variety of color is important. But so is the saturation of color. Are they muted? Bright? Etc.
Third, and this one is the most challenging, there's a balance of temperature in the flowers. Notice how the cool tones of the bright fuchsia is off-set by the warmth of the peach roses that are dotted here and there. That exchange of cool and warmth doesn't make it too heavy and unfeeling, nor does it make it too light and feminine. It's a play on the masculine and feminine.
If you think I've given this too much thought, I haven't even begun! But, I will leave it at that because I think you get my point. Consult with a pro if you're not confident about doing this yourself. Trust me, the cost of a pro is worth more than the cost of a DIY fail! Trust me!!!!
