Today we lost a truly incredible human being.
I was raised on a steady supply of David Bowie thanks to my dad, and when I heard of his passing today I absolutely couldn't believe it. I used to wake up to Modern Love just about every single day in college.
At the age of 69, after a battle with cancer and a fucking AMAZING life, David Bowie passed away today, January 10.
Don't know much about him?
You can visit this site here to see what Bowie had already accomplished at your age.
I'm 23 and at my age Bowie was kicking ass, releasing his third album, and creating the iconic pop alias - Ziggy Stardust.

This man changed not only the music world, but also the definitions of masculinity, sexuality, and much more.
I'm honestly grateful that I grew up knowing Bowie and am indebted to the legacy he left. This gangly kid from south London grew up to change the world, and he wanted everyone to feel like they had that power too.
Below are some of my favorite tracks, but I'd love to hear yours too!
Heroes
"We can be Heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day"
Modern Love
"Never gonna fall for Modern Love"
Under Pressure
"'Cause love's such an old-fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves"
Suffragette City
"Oh don't lean on me man
Cause you can't afford the ticket'
The Man Who Sold The World
"Who knows? Not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world"
Fame
"Fame makes a man take things over
Fame lets him loose, hard to swallow
Fame puts you there where things are hollow"
