Latin Dancing: How To Move Your Hips
When it comes to Latin dancing (salsa, merengue, bachata, ect), there's one thing they do have in common: the importance of moving your hips.
This can be one of the most difficult part for most people, since they hadn't learned how to move or twist their body in that way. Learning the steps is easy, it's making sure your hips don't lie that can be tough. ;)
It's important for both women AND men to learn how to move their hips when it comes to this sort of genre of music! HIP TIPS! 1) Let your knees move your hips. Don't actively move your hips.
2) Transfer your weight to the left foot at the same time start to lift your right foot. Your hip should be shifted over to the left side. (vice-versa)
3) Stand straight with both feet kept close to each other. Bend the right knee just slightly, without bending the left knee. You've just moved your hips! ;)
