Lee Shin (Jung Yong-hwa) is a university student majoring in Western Music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of a band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted and distant person, but he has a soft side inside him hidden away. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon-soo (So Yi-hyun), a dance professor at the university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Gyu-won (Park Shin-hye). Lee Gyu-won is a jolly, bright, and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in Traditional Korean Music. She plays the gayageum. Gyu-won's grandfather, Lee Dong-jin (Shin Goo), is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu-won immerses herself in practice and becomes a university student who knows nothing much outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid," she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him. Yeo Joon-hee (Kang Min-hyuk) is a bumbling, shy, and ever hungry boy who doesn't act his age. He has a childlike personality, is a shaggy idiot by day, and Stupid's lead drummer by night. During one of his shaggy phases, he comes across university princess and chairman's daughter, Han Hee-joo (Kim Yoon-hye), who he immediately falls head over heels for, calling her his "Natasha." However, there are dark sides to Hee-joo's personality than his naïvete knows, and in the series, he fights between his ever-growing feelings for Hee-joo and helping his friends as she threatens their university lives. When Gyu-won decides to join the performances for the upcoming 100th anniversary performance for the university, everyone sees her potential and talent, particularly Kim Suk-hyun (Song Chang-eui), a Broadway composer-turned-music director. Fearing that Gyu-won might outshine her daughter, Hee-joo's mother schemes with Im Tae-joon (Lee Jung-heon), one of the school's administrators; they plot to destroy Gyu-won's image to force her to quit the performance.
Yeo Joon-hee (Kang Min-hyuk)! I fell for Joon-hee right away! He's so cute, funny, a drummer (drummers are hot), and he's a great eater! He has such a beautiful voice and sings 1 of my favorite OSTS for this drama called "Star". It's such a fun song! He's a fun and enjoyable character. His determination to get the girl is amazing. Joon-Hee looks great with or without glasses!!! He is sometimes thought to be a homeless person. He is super sweet and his smile is everything.
1st Park Shin-Hye and Jung Yong-Hwa Drama:
That's right! This is the 1st Park Shin-Hye drama and Jung Yong-Hwa drama I watched. I loved both their characters and I absolutely loved their fashion in this show. Especially that red and white striped shirt!!! Park Shin-Hye also became my #1 favorite actress after watching this drama because she's an amazing actor!
This is a music drama. Therefore it has really good music in it and here are some of them. I love that the main characters Park Shin-Hye, Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk all sing most of the OST's. I really like Jung Yong Hwa's songs because of how unique his voice is. He gives you good vibe just by listening to his music! I can hear sorrow coming from his voice. My favorite song from this show is "You've Fallen for Me" by Jung Yong-Hwa. "I Will Forget You" by Park Shin-Hye made me tear up.
Lee Gyu-Won and Lee Shin! I love these two with a passion! They made me laugh so much, smile at the cuteness overload and cry at emotional parts. Gyu-Won made me cry alot... But they are such a sweet couple!
I loved this show from start to finish. It's one of many that I would actually watch again and there aren't that many that I could sit through again but this one is so entertaining. The main couple and side couple are adorable to the point they give me multiple heart attacks. The songs make me either tear up or extremely happy. There weren't really any characters I disliked besides maybe Han Hee-Joo, but only a little. I didn't like her mom though because of what she did to Gyu-Won but it's okay because Hee-Joo eventually helps her out because she doesn't want to be the bad guy. It has great character development and I love the storyline!
10/10 - If I give a drama a 10/10 it means I loved it and I would probably watch it again. This is one of them because it was cute, funny and emotional for the viewers. If you like musical dramas, Romance and comedy this is definitely one to watch! In my opinion it's better than the Dream High series. Have you watched "Heartstrings"? What is your favorite Park Shin-Hye drama? What is your fa Jung Yong-Hwa drama? My favorite Park Shin-Hye drama is "Pinocchio" and my favorite Jung Yong-Hwa drama is "Heartstrings"! @kpopandkimchi @KpopQueenaBee @SydneyGarza @humairaa @SusiBosshammer @JaxomB @JamiMilsap @sarahdarwish @sosoaloraine23 @KaiJae @btsgotshinee @sherrysahar @ChaErica @deefran @krin @VeronicaArtino @GDsGF @Kamiamon @solodaywithB1A4 @mistymaity @SusiBosshammer @Priscilla @Mahealani @Yongsongmi @shannawi @carenabobo @TanyaGautam @hyunsaeng638 @heidichiesa @MinDeji @EmilioTrevino @dancer1248MN @AnaP @AimeeH @JackieMurrayCab @Konaa @MooshieBay @poojas @SabrinaSakura @EmilyPeacock @seouls @dominika @RosaArgueta @luna1171 @KpopGaby @TLeahEdwards @Tan @3SecondsOfHope @IMNII @PrettieeEmm @Tamaki1618
