Genius profiler Lee Hyun (Seo In-Guk) returns home to Korea after something from a case he’s been sent triggers a memory he thought he’d lost forever. Unbeknownst to him, one of his team members, Detective Cha Ji-an (Jang Na-Ra), has been investigating him for some time. She is aware that his father was murdered and his brother disappeared under mysterious circumstances involving a criminal named Lee Joon Young (Do Kyung-So) - whom they both want found and incarcerated. Each seeks to unravel the other, unaware that they’ve been drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse by a master player and that both truth and evil are closer and far more twisted than they think.
Son Myeong-Woo (Min Sung-Wook) I love funny characters and this guy made the show with his laughable personality. His big smile and the way he says calls Lee Hyun "Dave" instead of "David" which is his name and he never says his actual name even thought they tell him countless times that his name is David. He rejects that and still called him Dave. If he wasn't part of this drama, their wouldn't be any humor and I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it because it would've been serious all the time. Of course I love the main characters too but he's my favorite from the whole cast!
Remember by Dear Cloud It tugs at your feelings. I love how the song goes from soft to a higher pitch and it's very emotional.
I'm all about the humor. So this is my favorite scene because it's so funny. I'm calling it "The Closet Surprise". Their aren't any subtitles but basically what happened was, they both hid in the closet because Lee Hyun knew someone was coming and he was a suspect for murder at the time so he had to hide from the cops. So Cha Ji An hid to and it ended up being two of her team members who came to investigate a crime scene that Lee Hyun is the suspect of and the two members are talking badly about both Lee Hyun (Dave) and Cha Ji An. (specifically how she is flat chested and has no butt) It's really funny to me.
STRONG FEMALE LEAD:
Cha Ji-An (Jang Na-Ra) She is the strongest female character I've seen yet in a drama but that doesn't surprise me considering she is a detective/cop therefore she has been trained to be physically strong. She gets into a big fight with a big guy at her house and she does pretty good for a girl. She can take care of herself. Most female leads are weak and always need saving even though she gets saved by Lee Hyun. That was because Cha Ji-An was in a desperate situation where she needed saving and would've died in the hands of a murder.
When we all knew who Min was before his own brother... I could tell right away when I saw him. They chose a really good child actor for Min because they have the same smile and look in their eyes. It is spot on. I feel so bad for him, he didn't deserve to live that way. But once he found his brother, you could tell his facial expressions were changing for the better. The most emotional scene from OK m this show was the brothers explaining what happened between them and how hurt Min was thinking his brother abandoned him and never looked for him. He didn't even recognize Min!
Lee Joon Yeong
Do Kyung-Soo played that character so well, it's scary. He is great at playing the bad guy and that evil smile. Once I figured out before it was revealed who Lee Joon Yeong was everyone else knew but didn't have evidence. He changes his appearance drastically and looks like a completely different person and his personality isn't as scary. Unless he gets mad...!
I wanted more romance between these two because there was a lot of tension throughout the show and a good bit of serious scenes. You do know in the end if they end up together or not. There were a few cute scenes but not many do it left me a little empty. I felt like they never admitted their feelings to one another. They have a very comedic relationship and they get through hardships together.
I really enjoyed this show. The plot is very interesting and unique. It's upsetting that Lee Hyun's dad thought that he was a monster that whole time when it wasn't him who was the monster and he locked him in isolation. There was some character development. I wanted more romance. It was funny. But it would go from a cute scene to a serious scene which kind of irritated me a little. Strong characters and actors. Even the children actors were really good and there aren't that many really young actors who are that good. I was a little unsatisfied with the ending but I still enjoyed it to its fullest potential.
9/10 - Although I loved it. I wish there was more romance and for a conclusion in the end but you don't get all your questions answered, sadly. I do recommend it though because it gets you fired up and your blood pumping with adrenalin.
Have you watched "I Remember You/Hello Monster" and did you like it?
