It's going to be a really awesome year for Shakespearan's. Get ready...

Here's what is happening across the world for Shakespeare!!

Productions across the globe! Though some theatre companies even strictly do Shakespeare, more productions will appear around the Globe (get it?) to celebrate the
Shakespeare Film! Digital video screenings at universities, online, and special showcase television screenings.
Shakespeare Talks. Don't know much about the bard? Well professors across the world know a lot about the dude, and they are STILL talking about his awesome works. And why they are influential. I know for me especially, understanding the meaning behind something give me a better appreciation for art.

Final EVENT! On 23 April, Simon Callow hosts a gala concert at the Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Glyndebourne Chorus. Also, a broadcast on BBC2 from Stratford and hosted by one-time Hamlet, David Tennant will take place.
ALSO: Rumor is that Benedict Cumberbatch might be in on the fun.
I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare, and I know that's not saying much (because well he is one of the most influential, if not THE most influential playwright ever). But when I say I mean I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare, I mean I've read ever single one of his plays, a bunch of his sonnets, written several papers on the man, and a been in few productions.
I'm not a Shakespeare expert, but my god is his stuff brilliant. I couldn't be more excited.
(This card is part of a preview of the 2016 year ahead in News. Jump Ahead January is taking place all across Vingle! Check it out everyone <<HERE>>!!)

{AH} Artist Hours Overview
Dear fellow Vinglers, At long last, the project I have been developing is finally ready to be opened to the public. What is this project you ask? It's a little something I like to call Artist Hours. As an artist, I have always had the struggle of finding the time and motivation to practice. It was so hard... then I realized that I'm not the only one with this issue. There were countless other people, just like me, who were having the exact same problem. The trouble of finding motivation is a difficult one, or so I've found. So what do I do? The only thing I'm good at. Technology what not. In short I have developed a website that will fix our problem. It works on a point system, allowing users to compete for the most points. Points will reset at the end of each month. Competition should fix the motivational issue that we have, but there's still more features to come! It's still in the beta stages for the most part, and I plan on adding lots of stuff later in the game, but for now the main idea is online and operational. What is Artist Hours This madness is called Artist Hours. Allow me to elaborate in infomercial style. ARE YOU AN ARTIST!?! If so, Artist Hours is just for you! As an artist, I'm sure you know the struggle of having to find the time ad motivation to practice, am I correct!?! OF COURSE I AM!!! Artist Hours will fix all of your problems! It works on a point system. The more time you pour into practicing, the more points you earn! The more points, the better. With each hour you practice, you get ten points! At the end of each month, one person will be declared the winner, and will receive the Virtual Crown of Art, as well as bragging rights. WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!!! There are these things called Tasks! If you complete a Task, you get five more points! ISN'T THAT AMAZING!?! How are you suppose to keep track of your points? Lucky you, I have designed a beautiful printable seen on the Artist Hours website! Just save (or copy) the image, and plaster it into a new Google Documents (or Word document (or Open Office.Org document)) and print it off! Then colour in a new level for every hour you are artistic for. Make sure to also colour in Task boxes each time you finish a task as well! In order to submit it at the end of each month, just take a readable picture and email it to me (al3xanderbeta@gmail.com) with the subject line as "SCORES" and make sure to let me know what your Vingle username is! IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!! Links Artist Hours Website: https://artisthours.orbs.com/ Art inspiration: http://artprompts.org/ Writing inspiration: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=writeprompt Please! I am begging you! If you find project Artist Hours interesting / a good concept / a cool idea, share this thing everywhere! You have no clue how much it helps me, and how motivated I get when people actually use the stuff I make! \(^.^)/ Aaaaaaand I'm gunna tag pplz who may or may not like something like this! (Actually I'm just tagging people who have rlllllly rllllly pretty art! >:3 ) =========== @JayEstrella @RawuelArredondo @jessicaacosta90 @Ash2424701 @ardo @AronFox @Jasong659 @mst2000mt @Earsx18 @artismyescape @sheeriowolfluv
5 Shakespeare Quotes Turned Relevant Rap Lyrics
Move over Drake. Contrary to popular belief, rap is a form of poetry. We all know him for his best sonnets and amazing syntax. He was the love maestro who made us fall in love with the story of Romeo and Juliet, or this case -- Romero and Junetta. If he was alive, there would be no feeling categorized as 'drake', we would all he feeling 'shakey'. Yes, I just made that up, but allow me to explain. Before there was a 2 Live Crew, Biggie Smalls, Puff Daddy, Master P, Lil Wayne, J.Cole, Drake or Kendrick -- there was Big Willy and no, I'm not referring to Will Smith. I'm talking about Shakespeare, William Shakespeare to be exact. The original mack daddy, way before Usher claimed to be one. To be or not to be would not be the question, but rather -- never mind. I wilt not spoil thy leisure. Keep scrolling and see what an amazing rapper Shakespeare would be if he were still alive. Play: The Tempest 'Hear my soul speak: The very instant that I saw you, did My heart fly to your service.' Translation: Say baby my heart wanted you the second you crossed my path, let's make a dash -- if that's not too brash. Play: As You Like It 'But, mistress, know yourself: down on your knees, And thank heaven, fasting, for a good man's love.' Translation: You better recognize when you got a good thing on your team. Play: Hamlet 'To be or not to be is the question.' Translation: Is you is or is you ain't? That is the question. Play: The Merchant of Venice 'But love is blind, and lovers cannot see The pretty follies that themselves commit; For, if they could, Cupid himself would blush.' Translation: Love is blind and it will take over your mind. Word to Eve. Play: Timon of Athens 'My heart is ever at your service.' Translation: I got what you want, got what you need. Biden to sign new executive order on guns, expanding background checks
President Joe Biden will sign an executive order aimed at expanding background checks during his visit Tuesday to Monterey Park, Calif., where 11 people were gunned down in January. The White House said the move will get “the U.S. as close to universal background checks as possible” without legislation, as Congress remains gridlocked on the issue. Gun safety advocates have pushed administration officials on this front for months. The executive action will direct Attorney General Merrick Garland to address a background check loophole by clarifying the definition of “engaged in the business” of selling firearms, according to a senior administration official who briefed reporters late Monday ahead of the announcement. The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act passed last summer updated federal law, requiring anyone who sells guns for profit to be licensed and conduct background checks on buyers. By clarifying who qualifies as a gun dealer, the federal law will require a greater number of sellers to conduct background checks on prospective buyers. Biden’s latest gun policy rollout, which he will announce at the Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley, comes amid a deadly year. Almost four months into 2023, there have been 109 mass shootings in which four or more people were injured or killed, according to the Gun Violence Archive. As the violence continues even after the passage of the first gun legislation in 30 years, major gun safety groups have pleaded with Biden to act alone as Congress appears unlikely to reach further compromise on the issue. “These are not controversial solutions anywhere expect for in Washington, D.C., in Congress,” the senior administration official said. “The majority of kitchen tables across the country — they support universal background checks. And the action the president is proposing — to move closer to universal background checks — is just common sense.” The president’s executive order also calls for his administration to speed up the implementation of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Within 60 days, every agency involved in the legislation’s rollout will be required to send Biden a report outlining progress and additional steps needed to push the law forward. The executive order also directs members of Biden’s Cabinet to focus on raising public awareness of red flag laws and safe storage of guns and to address the loss and theft of firearms, the official said. The president will also take additional steps aimed at holding gun manufacturers accountable, including by encouraging the Federal Trade Commission to analyze and report how gun manufacturers market firearms to minors. Just as the Federal Emergency Management Agency responds during a hurricane, Biden will ask members of his Cabinet to coordinate a response plan to address short and long-term needs in communities struck by mass shootings. “He is directing key members of his Cabinet to develop a proposal for how we can structure the government to do a better job supporting those impacted by gun violence,” the administration official told reporters. Biden will also use Tuesday’s address to re-up his calls for Congress to take further action on guns, including his futile push for an assault weapons ban. 17 Things Only Theater Majors Understand
People don't get how time consuming, soul consuming and life consuming our profession is. It takes balls to get up on stage, and get back stage to run a show. Don't hate, appreciate! I went to Ohio University's Division of Theater. It was incredible. I laughed, I cried, I made mistakes and ultimately I learned a lot about living and the possibility of happiness. Studying acting for four years was the best decision of my life. I made lifelong friends and learned a lot about myself, but ultimately I learned that there are just some things that only theater people understand. When people walk by the theater building or classroom, they're going to hear screaming and crying. It's totally normal. Some people think that you are all crazy, but you're making art damn it! One minute you're laughing, the next you're crying. It's all apart of the job. Classes can be pretty damn draining. The most real emotion that ever happens is when the cast list goes up. We can try our damndest to live authentically through imaginary circumstances on stage, but we will laugh, cry, scream, and live extremely truthfully when we see what part we've gotten. Whether good or bad, each part has its challenges and rewards. Tech week is the closest thing to hell you'll see. Nothing is closer to hell than tech week. The hours are long and the tensions are at an all time high. There's always that moment where you're like, "THE SHOW IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN." and then, somehow, magically it comes together. Shakespeare... Oh, the Bard, one of the most frustrating and incredible people on the planet. You never feel more alive or more terrified then when you're reciting his immortal words. Don't mess up the rhythm and don't fuck up the words. Each one is so important that your teacher will ultimately try and slit your throat if you mess up. As they should, for nothing is as important as Shakespeare. Counter space in the dressing room is like your home. Counter space is like currency, especially in the women's dressing room. Some people dress them up with photos and flowers, and others throw their shit everywhere in hopes of finding the right eyeliner for the period piece you are always thrown into. Dress rehearsals always suck, and that means the show is going to be amazing. If you come out of a final dress or tech rehearsal feeling like you've got a kickass show, you better watch out. The nerves and everything else culminate on that oh so important opening night and everything becomes real. It's amazing. Meisner technique... Basically you cry, scream, throw things, stab things, fight, kiss, stab things, make messes and hate yourself afterward. It teaches you to be extremely truthful, which you might carry over into your real life. Whoops, it's just acting right? You will become best friends with your cast mates / tech crew. You have to be a family. Some pretty personal things go down during rehearsals, and backstage. Because you're bearing your soul and giving everything you have emotionally, you have to be open and available. Vulnerability is key, and when you need help you can ask your theater family. The people in your classes will know everything there is to know about you. Being in an acting studio will really teach you to trust people. It's all about falling through the air and realizing that you have people to catch you. There are a lot of rituals. The opening night songs, the flowers, the "break a leg" phrase. Everyone has their own superstitions in the theater, and it's all in hopes of being authentic, honest and completely stellar on stage. Anyone who doesn't have a little ritual they do before they go on stage, isn't in the theater. No matter what, the show must go on, and that is the truth. There is always something happening, whether it's backstage or on the stage, we have to have back-up plans and procedures. People get sick, injured and sometimes they can't even stand, but somehow the muster up the courage to get through it. The show must go on. And theater builds character. The theory and literature classes are really exciting at first, but coupled with rehearsals and projects...ugh. No. And those teachers are all, "these classes are important too!" They are! But when you're running on 4 hours of sleep...no. No. Blocking is a major pain in the ass, but it's necessary. Yes. I walk here, but I want to walk there, can I change it? Lighting, sound COSTUMES and the set are VERY VERY important. There's nothing like seeing everything come together, and it makes you appreciate the talents of everyone in the bulding, actors, tech and beyond. There is nothing like putting on your costume for the first time! Trust me, it really gets you into character. Showmances. Romeo falls in love with Juliet blah blah blah. If you spend a lot of time acting like you love someone, you just might start to love them off stage too. Cast and crew hook-ups sometimes lead to amazing chemistry, and others just go down in flames. Whatever the result, they're exciting right. And theater majors love drama! Everyone's always like: Why aren't you on Broadway yet!? Because some of us want to teach, or help people, or act in films. Not everyone who goes to theater or acting school wants to end up on Broadway. There are millions of things you can do with a theater degree! Hell, I write! People always say: What can you do with that degree? EVERYTHING. I learned more from being a theater major than a lot of my friends did in business school. It's all about discovering yourself and learning through experience. I don't regret a thing. Lots of my friends are in business, marketing, writing and are going to graduate schools. Theater changes lives and minds. Don't let anyone sway you from majoring in it! Theater is hard, rewarding and scary, and everyone who studies it learns to have no regrets. Because leaving it all on the stage, giving everything you have and knowing that you have a chance to be someone else for a while makes it all worth it. Break a leg!
Shakespeare was a Stoner
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears...In a new discovery 400-year-old tobacco pipes excavated that were from the garden of William Shakespeare were found to contain cannabis. So, to put it bluntly... Shakespeare was a stoner. The scientists at the Evolutionary Studies Institute at the University of the Witwatersrand, tested 24 fragments of pipe loaned from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and cannabis was found in eight samples, four of which came from Shakespeare's property. Now, the question we are all thinking: Did the weed have an influence on this sensational playwright’s work? With a list of stoner creatives (George Washington, Queen Elizabeth, basically all of ancient Greece) in the history books, this is just another one to add to the inventory of. Stoners of the world: You can now use “Shakespeare did it so now I can too! Not all stoners are bums and losers. This guy was the most successful playwright of all time.” As another excuse to your mom, dad, or anyone else for that matter. And you’ll start writing all the best plays. Including, but not limited to: Twelfth Night Faded A Midsummer Night's Taco Run Much Ado About Doing Nothing The Dealer of Venice Alls Well That Ends Weed Ok, that last one was pretty bad, but you get it. Or maybe soon you’ll start crafting your own sonnets: “Shall I compare thee to a giant bag of chips, or some Chicken McNuggets... thou art more lovely and temperate...” (Please note: I’m not condoning illegal behavior. If you don’t smoke, that’s cool too dude. You could be next Shakespeare without the added doobie. Just maybe it won’t be as fun.)
Why Harry Potter Fans Should Be Freaking Out this Week
J.K. Rowling is just making me the happiest little Harry Potter nerd of all time. Why is that you say? Well, two things happened this week that have me FREAKING OUT. Check out this REALLY IMPORTANT Potter news! The First Look at the Prequel Movie! The title treatment for the movie was released, and it looks pretty familiar if you ask me. According to Entertainment Weekly, it's a similar font and style to the HP films. The designers made one big change to the letters, replacing the lightning bolt on the original “P” in “Potter” with a serpentine “S” in “Beasts.” The movie premiers in November 2016. J.K. Rowling is Writing a New Children's Book! Rowling gave an interview won BBC Radio Tuesday saying some real important stuff: “Actually, I have written part of a children’s book that I really love, so I’m definitely going to finish that. There will be another children’s book.” The interviewer then asked if she had a lot of ideas in her head! "I have so many ideas...I sometimes genuinely worry that I’ll die before writing them all out. That’s my mid-life crisis, that I’ll leave this earth without having written them all." WHY IS SHE SO COOL. Add that to the fact that she's still working on a play... This is old news, for the hardcore fans, but still exciting nonetheless. J.K. Rowling announced in June that she is working on a play called, The Cursed Child essentially the story of James and Lilly Potter before their untimely death. Well, you could just say I'm the happiest little book, theatre, and Potter lover this week. Please excuse me as I curl up in bed and re-read all the books and re-watch all the movies. Who else out there is excited?!
Top 3 Types of Solar Structures for Your Roof – FreyrEnergy:
Ready to add some sunshine to your roof? Know which type of solar structure will make your neighbors green with envy (and not just because they're environmentally friendly). In the wake of the 2023 Union Budget Announcement, the Indian government has allocated a whopping Rs 10,222 crore towards the renewable energy sector, with a central focus on solar energy and solar panel set-up. With a 48 percent increase from last year's allocation, there's no doubt that "green growth" is a top priority. And what better way to achieve that than by boosting the usage of green fuel, farming, and green energy? With India set to become the world's largest solar nation by 2022, it's no surprise that demand for solar panels is on the rise, leading to lower prices and higher grating rates. But with so many solar structures, how do you decide what's best for your home? In this blog, Freyr Energy will give you a closer look at the top 3 options available, from traditional solar panels to finding the ideal solar structure for your roof. Top 3 Types of Solar Structures From regular to elevated and sloping roof solar structures - discover the top solar structure type and their unique benefits to help you make a sustainable decision for your property. Regular Solar Structure: Regular Structures are cost-effective and efficient. The regular solar structure is the most common type of installation of solar panels for residential and commercial buildings. This structure involves installing solar panels directly onto the roof of the building using mounting brackets and other hardware. We shall erect the solar module mounting structure on the rooftop and anchor it to the slab using anchor fasteners of suitable size, drilling them up to 50 mm deep into the slab. We will then fill the holes with concrete bonding chemicals to prevent water seepage and concrete the structure by mixing the appropriate ratio of concrete. One of the main advantages of a regular solar structure is that it is cost-effective. It is also efficient, as the panels are installed optimally to receive maximum sunlight. This type of solar structure is flexible and functional on most roof types, including flat and sloping roofs. Additionally, regular solar structures require minimal maintenance and can last up to 25 years. Elevated Solar Structure: Elevated Solar Structures are the creative solution to your energy needs. An elevated solar structure is a type of solar installation that involves mounting solar panels on a structure above the roof of a building. It creates a shaded area beneath the solar panels for a variety of purposes, such as outdoor seating or storage. One of the primary advantages of an elevated solar structure is that it provides an additional shaded area that can increase the usable space of a property. This type of solar structure is also creative and can add aesthetic value to your property. Elevated solar structures are standard for commercial buildings or residential properties with larger outdoor spaces. Sloping Roof Solar Structure: Sloping Roof Solar structures maximize production. A sloping roof solar structure involves mounting solar panels at an angle on a sloping roof. The angle of the panels is adjusted based on the angle of the roof to ensure maximum exposure to sunlight and maximum energy production. One of the main advantages of a sloping roof solar structure is that it can maximize the amount of energy by optimizing its position and angle. This type of solar structure is also efficient in terms of space utilization, as it does not require additional ground or roof space. Anodized Aluminium Triangular Frame/short rails structure with Rivet/SDS fixing arrangement should have a triangular frame made of anodized aluminum and short rails with a fixing arrangement of Rivet/SDS on the short rails. Solar PV System Mounting Structures: Mounting structures are designed to support solar PV systems and are necessarily built with the roof type in mind. Solar PV systems can be mounted on a flat or sloping roof, metal sheet, asbestos sheet, or an RCC roof. The RCC roof should be at least 0.5M lower-end clearance from the roof level for the solar PV installation. Base and Parts of Mounting Structures: The base of the mounting structure needs to be strong enough to support the entire load of the solar PV system mounting structure, including the solar PV system, balance of systems, and other components. Direction of Solar systems The solar systems must be placed in a way to maximize exposure to sunlight. The best direction to place them is facing the equator. It means in the northern hemisphere. The solar PV systems should face true south. In the southern hemisphere, the solar PV systems should face true north. Regular, Elevated, and Sloping Solar Structure: Which is Best? When considering solar panels for your property, there are several important considerations to keep in mind. First and foremost, you'll want to ensure that your property is suitable for solar installation. It's also important to consider the size of different solar systems. The size of your solar system will depend on several factors, including your energy consumption, the size of your property, and the type of solar structure you choose. As the demand for solar energy increases, so is the competition among bidders in the solar field. In an attempt to keep costs low, some companies compromise on the quality of the solar PV system mounting structures. It results in an unstable or inefficient system. Whether you choose a regular solar structure, elevated solar structure, or sloping roof solar structure, each type has unique advantages to suit different property types and personal preferences. By carefully considering your options and working with a professional installer, you can enjoy the benefits of clean, renewable energy for years to come. Freyr Energy can provide the 360-degree assistance you need. Not just demographics, but Consumer Profiles are the key to efficient Marketing
A good amount of data is available on the age , sex and income profiles of residents of different geographies. And this forms the basis of important business decisions which can create profitability for businesses. However, what constitutes good data, that create and run business plans, is availability of Consumer Profiles of these customers.  https://kentrix.in/consumer-profiles-are-the-key-to-efficient-marketing/ How is a Consumer Profile different from the regular demographic data ?  The easiest way of getting pin code wise demographic data is through the National Census. The National Census will provide you with basic population characteristics including age, sex, marital status, household composition, family characteristics, and household size.  The national census being a laborious  process that is supposed to cover people residing in each and every part of the country is a process that is conducted in India every ten years. This data collected requires intense collation and is made available to the people by the government through a website.  Having the advantage of reasonable accuracy and ease of availability, this data then becomes the starting point for many different activities. The activities include both social as well as economic.  To an extent this demographic data is a good point of reference for social activities that are required for governance. However, the depth of information in this does not include Consumer Profiling.  The key differentiator is to understand the consumer profile from the angle of Intent. What a consumer’s need is at a point of time is what helps decide the of a product or a service in that particular geography.  A simple example for the differentiation between pure demographic data and a consumer profile can be explained through this example.  Imagine a municipality running the water pipeline for a particular residential area, deciding on the quantum of water to be pumped to a particular residential apartment’s. The census demographic data would provide sufficient information to be able to decide on the requirements.  Now imagine a food delivery company wanting to target the same residential area with their services. In order to decide on what particular cluster of  the area to be serviced by a group of delivery agents, it would help to be able to understand that is the exact consumer profile of those residents. Is this an area where the residents are of an age group where they prefer home cooked food or are there more student profiles where the company could expect that the food is often delivered from a cloud kitchen or a restaurant? Or are there families who prefer to order out on weekends in order to enjoy a variety of different cuisines?  This information is provided by consumer profiling where the intent of the customers is also available as a part of the data. Consumer Profiles provide key information about the consumers and their interaction with the business. Customer profiles can tell you about the customer mindset and that in turn can help companies make decisions of placing different product variants , particular SKUs and preferred delivery time. While traditional brick & mortar businesses find this of tremendous value, this is especially critical for the new  rising D2C businesses.  Understanding customer profiles can help build data that will help brands understand who is the impulsive, need based and the loyal customer.  Discover valuable insights into consumer behavior and create targeted marketing strategies with our comprehensive consumer profiles analysis. Discover consumer profile with Kentrix.  We suggest Kentrix, which  has data availability for 91.5 crores of Indian consumer. This can be a gold mine for businesses . These are complete consumer profiles which include understanding of consumer intent.   The best part of this data, is that the data points have been identified down to the precise residential place of living. This makes the data extremely insightful for B2C and D2C businesses.  To know more about how this solution can help you in your business, click here.
