Old Soul [n.] - A spiritual person whom is wise beyond their years; people of strong emotional stability. Basically, someone whom has more understanding of the world around them.
Okay, I'll keep it real. I'm a homebody. I enjoy solitude. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy company -- but I find comfort in snuggling up in the bed with my covers and some Drake [insert Drake song here]. I mean doesn't every homebody enjoy Drake? I find happiness in the little things, like a marathon of my favorite television show and a nice home cooked meal.
I've grown to accept the fact that my friends consider me a grandma [although I prefer the term old soul], but at the end of the day -- the fast life doesn't really excite me. You can keep the drinks, the clubs and the late nights out. I'm usually in my bed before midnight and up with the sun. You might call this lifestyle boring, but I call it fun. Keep scrolling to see my life summed up in a absolutely hilarious, yet realistic video brought to you by Buzzfeed [seen below].
If you find yourself doing any of these more than likely you're an old soul:
- staying in on the weekend
- watching marathons of Lifetime movies
- spending more time with your mom and aunts than friends
- cooking than eating out
- fall asleep before the close strikes 12 o'clock [even Cinderella was still awake]
I know I can't be the only one that knows the struggle of being an old soul -- honestly, it's not a struggle. I enjoy this lifestyle.
