The summertime is the perfect time to go see your favorite bands. The giant festivals of California and the UK are coming! And nothing is better than sloshing around in the mud of Glastonbury for two days, or getting lost in the desert for Coachella. So here we go. Here are some of the most awesome concert tours hitting us this summer! Time to Jump Ahead and make sure that we've got tons of fun stuff to look forward to.

1. Coachella:

First Festival: 1999
Location: Indio, CA
Coachella 2016 Dates: April 15-17 | April 22-24
Line Up Heavy Hitters: Guns N’ Roses, LCD Soundsystem, Sia, Ice Cube, Ellie Goulding
Coachella is a hipster's paradise.Expect to pay big money for this one. Aside from the reuniting of Guns N' Roses' original line up, there's nothing much to see here. Expect a lot of EDM artists and some indie rock gobbldigook.

2. Riot Fest:

First Festival: 2005
Location: Chicago, Denver, Toronto
Riot Fest 2016 Dates: September 16-18
Line Up Heavy Hitters: TBA
Riot Fest is the perfect festival for people who are totally over Warped Tour. It's like that scene grew up and grew better taste. Bands who have headlined in the past include: The Killers, No Doubt, Weezer, Fall Out Boy and more. So if you're a grown up emo kid with a taste for rock and roll, look no further. Can't wait to see who headlines this year!

3. South By Southwest (SXSW):

First Festival: 1987
Location: Austin, TX
SXSW 2016 Dates: March 11-20
SXSW 2016 Heavy Hitters: TBA
South By Southwest is an indie rock dream land. Taking smaller artists from around the world and plopping them in a collection of clubs around new music mecca Austin, it's one of those festivals that is perfect for discovering your new favorite band. Though the 2016 line-up hasn't been announced yet, it's still worth getting excited over. Plus, one of my favorite bands Carl Barat and The Jakals played there last year. So maybe there's hope for the Libertines in 2016?

4. The Governor's Ball:

First Festival: 2011
Location: Randall’s Island, NYC
Governors Ball 2016 Dates: June 3-5
Governors Ball 2016 Heavy Hitters: The Killers, Kanye West, The Strokes
Damn, I need to buy a ticket to New York. WHY DON'T I LIVE THERE ANYMORE. Seriously, I love all three of the headliners. And yes, people will bitch and moan about Kanye, but who cares? He puts on a show. Plus who wouldn't want to see a Kanye and Strokes collab on stage. Uh DUH. EVERYONE WOULD WANT TO SEE IT.

5. Bonnaroo:

Location: Manchester, TN
Bonnaroo 2016 Dates: June 9-12
Bonnaroo 2016 Heavy Hitters: LCD Soundsystem, Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, Ween, Haim
Bonnaroo is the south's finest festival. Hitch a ride on over to Manchester, TN and see some good low key bands and some old favorites. The big draw this year? Indie darlings Haim who have worked with Brandon Flowers and Taylor Swift this year.
SO HERE'S TO 2016 THE YEAR OF AMAZING MUSIC (and possibly a new STROKES album!!!!)
SXSW is at least three hours where I am. Too bad I can't go, mew. Which festival do you want to go? @TessStevens
Omg governors ball. I am OBSESSED with the strokes and the killers. I'd kill to see them in the same olace
I have always wanted to go to Bonnaroo. I have a friend who goes every year. He saves up paychecks for the ticket and goes down and basically just goes buck-wild for close to a week.
