Shangai Based Fashion Designer Chris Chang x MAC Cosmetics

All you makeup junkies, brace yourself.

If you thought MAC was making dreams come true with their retro matte liquid lipstick collection, just wait until you see their new collaboration that will give you so much life. In May of this year, MAC will be launching one of it's most elaborate and colorful collections to date with fashion designer Chris Chang of Poesia. It's definitely obvious that the cosmetic line has a thing for asian inspired themes and I mean, can we really blame them? This collection will consist of 14 products including lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliners and much more that were all inspired by Kunqu [ancient Chinese art form].
“My inspiration comes from the traditional aesthetics of ethnic tribes and costumes from various countries, as well as the transformative world of art, my designs are for women who are eccentric and confident. Color is the integral fuel of my imagination and the spirit MAC and I share. This collaboration is a dream come true for the maximalists of the world", says Chang.
It's obvious that this collection is bound to sell out like hotcakes because I mean look at it -- it's absolutely gorgeous. If you're not feeling the products, you at least have to invest for the packaging. If you're a true makeup junkie like myself, sometimes you invest in the products solely for the detailed and intricate package. Don't judge us. Stay tuned ladies, May seems like it's years away -- but it will be here in a blink of an eye.
In the meantime, keep scrolling and bask in all the bright beauty of this amazing collaboration we are all patiently anticipating.

How excited are you on a scale of 1-10?

Talk about colorful.

@jordanhamilton YES!! It is!! I love it. I would buy it for the packaging alone, but the palette is actually gorgeous, too. You could even make the yellow work if you blended it with a shimmery pink over it. It would make a bronzey pink, beachy color, I think. (Omg I've spent way too much time playing with makeup... for me, for stage performances, for obsession! Lol)
