You know, if they were real people.
Even though I spend most of my time being a GIANT NERD, I am paying pretty close attention to the elections. Even though politics are ridiculously complicated and frustrating most of the time, at the end of the day we all feel the effects of what happens in the elections whether we vote or not. And why am I concerned about the future of the galaxy- um, I mean America?
So why not combine fandom and politics?
After all, it's pretty much tradition. The first Captain America politics were extremely political- they featured Captain America punching Hitler in the face despite the strong pro-Nazi sentiment in New York at the time. So, if our heroes were real and alive today, who do you think they would vote for?
Here are the candidates (in case you needed a reminder).
Okay, Thor probably can't vote.
I doubt he'd be an American citizen (those tests are hard). But Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and Clint Barton definitely are- and it seems reasonable to assume that Natasha Romanoff became a citizen through her work for S.H.I.E.L.D. Who do you think they'd be voting for?
