The newest anime feature film from Makoto Shinkai is coming in 2016!

The anime is called Kimi no Na Wa, with the English title being "Your Name". Here's a brief summary of what the anime will be about:
The story is set one month after a comet has fallen for the first time in a thousand years in Japan. Mitsuha, a high school girl living in the countryside, wants to live in the city because she is tired of life in the country. Then, there's Taki. He's a high school student living in Tokyo with his friends while working as a part-timer at an Italian restaurant. He also has a strong interest in fine arts involving architecture. One day, Mitsuha dreams of herself as a young man. On the other hand, Taki also has a dream where he is a female student attending high school in the countryside. What's the secret behind their dreams?
Makoto Shinkai has been called "The new Miyazaki" by at least one major publication, touting his art style as a new vibrancy that the genre needs.
I'm pretty stoked to see this anime, because not only do the visuals look stunning, but that small bit of summary is puzzlingly interesting. Are these characters dreaming of each other? Dreaming AS each other? Hard to say. but I get a weird deja vu when I watch the trailer. It reminds me vaguely of the Studio Ghibli film Whisper of the Heart. Probably because of the Taki's interest in fine arts and architecture, like Seiji's dream to be a master violin maker.
In any case, this is yet another anime coming in 2016 to be stoked about! Check out the trailer below.
The anime comes out in August, and the subbed version will likely follow shortly after that.
I'm not sure if the plot will be all that good... but I'll tell you one thing, I'm gonna watch this for the art style and animation
Vingles been acting up so I don't know if this post is from 2016 or 2017... 馃槄馃槄馃槄 But one way or another the movie has been out since last August. I just watched it and oh my god it's beautiful. It'll make you laugh and possibly make you cry.. I know I did but it's still so worth the watch.
The graphics are similar to 5 centimeters per second
