Kobe Bryant is on his way out of the league, so it's only right that we celebrate the anniversary of one of the greatest scoring outputs ever today.
On this day is 2006, Kobe Bryant, aka "The Black Mamba" dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors in the Staples Center.
The 81-point game was part of a January in which Bryant averaged 43.4 points in 16 games. The only player in NBA history to average more points in one month is Wilt Chamberlain, who did it seven times (minimum 10 games).
