PLOT:

A native of Jeju Island, Joo Yoo-rin (Lee Da-hae) lives with her father, who is addicted to gambling. Because of her father's debts, Yoo-rin has become particularly skilled at lying and grifting. When her father escapes the island to hide from his debtors, Yoo-rin is determined to support herself and clear up the debts. One day, she meets Seol Gong-chan (Lee Dong Wook) , the sole heir to the L'Avenue Hotel fortune. To grant his grandfather's dying wish, Gong-chan employs Yoo-rin to act as his grandfather's long-lost granddaughter. Offering a monthly salary plus a bonus, he asks her to do what she does best—to put on an act. Not wishing to lie to a dying man, yet desperate for the money, Yoo-rin takes the offer and starts playing the long-lost granddaughter. Through a strange twist of fate, however, finding his granddaughter makes the grandfather so happy that he makes a complete recovery. Since they have claimed to be cousins, Gong-chan and Yoo-rin are forced to live together under one roof, and as time passes, the attraction between them grows. However, love is forbidden for these two, who must pass as cousins.

EPISODES: 16

FAVORITE CHARACTER:

Seol Gong-chan (Lee Dong Wook) I don't even know where to begin with this guy... 1st off he's really handsome! Even though he's rich, he isn't a complete jerk. Gong-chan is actually a really nice guy which is why it's hard for Yoo Rin not to fall for him. He cares about his grandfather so much and doesn't want him to die which is why he hires a fake grandaughter. He is so cute when he's in love, and I'm glad he leaves the tennis player girl for Yoo Rin because she was an annoying jealous girlfriend. He deserves so much better.

DISLIKABLE CHARACTER:

Kim Sae-hyun (Park Si-yeon) I hate this character so much. Everytime she came up on the screen, I wanted a brick to chuck at her face. She always spouts nonsense. She constantly gets jealous over Yoo Rin even though she's supposed to be Gong-chan's cousin not lover. So she shouldn't have been that way over someone who's family. Sae-hyun is Gong-chan's ex-girlfriend and she's a famous tennis player that everyone knows. She also gets back together with Gong -chan. But she was envious with how Gong-chan was always with Yoo Rin. She spills all the secrets throughout the show which is another reason I really disliked her!

2nd Male Lead:

Seo Jung-woo (Lee Joon-gi) This guy was an interesting character from the beginning. He's a player and usually the main lead is the not so sweet, mean guy who could possibly be a player but it was just the opposite. He shows off his fighting skills infront of Yoo Rin the 1st time they meet because he assumes she's being taken away by force, so he helps. He's cute and falls for Yoo Rin. He also wants to marry her!

Female Lead:

Joo Yoo-Rin (Lee Da-hae) So I kind of didn't like her character in the beginning because she was lying about having a husband on a plane and that she wanted to say "farewell" to him, just so she can get on the plane. This way she can stall for people who need to get on. It was work related business but still. Her acting is hilarious though. She grows on you and as a character. I hate that she's a great liar but what plot line would we have if she couldn't lie? She's a really funny person, she made the show as great as it is.

SNOW GLOBE!

The star snow globe that Gong-chan got Yoo Rin for her birthday is the main symbol for this show. It symbolizes their relationship! Gong-chan starts collecting snow globes each time it snowed and had a huge collect of them.

Side Couple!

Ahn Jin Kyu (Jo Kye Hyung) This is one of Yoo-Rin's best friends and he falls for Gong-Chan's assistant whom I couldn't find a picture of so here's some pics Jin Kyu. I think he's so cute and he tries really herd to get the assistant to like him and it's obvious that she's thinks he's cute. They are such an adorable couple that we don't know if they ever become a couple or not.

Seol Gong-chan and Joo Yoo-Rin!

They are so cute and I felt so sad when Yoo-Rin was sad over being just a cousin to Gong-chan. Then Gong-chan realizes that he feels the same way that Yoo-Rin feels. Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da-hae have so much chemistry, it's crazy! They are so funny and make me laugh when they come up on the screen together. They even made me cry numerous times. The kiss scenes are so cute!

Never Say Goodbye

"My Girl" is from 2005-2006, therefore the music is kind of old and not my style but this song is my favorite out of all the songs from this drama. All the others are to slow, this one is more upbeat and hip.

OVERALL REVIEW:

I loved this drama so much, after seeing Lee Dong Wook in "Wild Romance", I wanted to see him in more dramas and this one is a really popular drama. So, I had to watch it. It's a classic with humor that I find funny and the romance between the main couple is so cute and the chemistry between the actors is amazing. The kiss scenes were perfect. The soundtrack was okay, but I wouldn't download any of the songs to my phone like I do with most dramas. I loved the side characters, the old couple are so funny to me. I like the storyline and how it unravels. I'm glad that Sae-hyun leaves them alone after and the main end up happily together. It has a great ending!

RATE:

9/10 - I would watch again but I wasn't a fan of the music but that's only because it's older. So, that's not the reason I'm giving a 9.Its because of the shocking face look was everywhere and it got repetitive and didn't like how snobby Sae-hyun's character is. But in the end, I would definitely be it to any Rom-Com lover like myself. Plus it's a classic!
