Have a bunch of photos that you want to put up, but can't find any photo frames that you really like? This DIY project is perfect for you! This project will also encourage you to look forward to Spring, which is essential in the frigid days of winter. This DIY tutorial comes from the amazing and creative woman at Not Just a Housewife.
For this project, you will need:
-- Wood frame
-- Sponge brush
-- Wood sticks (take some from around your home or you can buy some)
-- Moss (I would definitely recommend buying this because real moss usually has a lot of bugs in it)
-- Brown paint
-- Craft glue or hot-glue gun and glue sticks
You can find all of these items at a craft store.
Paint the frame
Use the sponge brush to paint all of the frame with the brown paint. You might need to do a few coats to make the paint completely opaque. Make sure to let each coat of paint dry completely.
Glue on the sticks
Use the hot-glue or craft glue to glue the wood sticks onto the frame. If you are using a hot-glue gun, use caution because it can be extremely dangerous (yes, that is coming from a really bad experience I had with a hot-glue gun).
Glue on the moss and other details
Take some moss and use the craft glue or hot-glue gun to glue it onto the top of the wood sticks. You can add any other detailing you would like to personalize the frame!
Glue a photo on the back and then put up your frame and enjoy!
