This adorable cat didn't have the best start in life, but she has overcome her rough start to be one of the most famous animals to ever walk the planet. I'm being completely serious — she has her own Wikipedia page.
A tough start.
Born as the runt of a litter to a feral mother, Lil Bub had a rough beginning. She was born with many genetic mutations that made her seem un-adoptable. Mike Bridavsky saw her and said, "Hey Bub!" and saved her from a life of loneliness. Her tongue always sticks out due to a short lower jaw and the absence of teeth. She also has osteoporosis, a bone disorder that makes it difficult for her to walk. Even though she suffers from a few physical problems, she loves to eat and enjoys filling up social media feeds with adorable pictures.
Lil Bub is loved.
She is not only loved by her owner, but also by millions of people all over the world. Her Instagram account has 1.1 million followers. She has been featured on ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today and The View. She was featured in Bullett Magazine and Bloom Magazine. She also has her own film (yes, you read that correctly). It's called "Lil Bub and Friendz" and it follows Lil Bub and other famous cats as they attend the first Internet Cat Video Film Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Lil Bub gives back.
Lil Bub has her own store and all of the proceeds from her store go to animals in need. She has raised more than $300,000 for the ASPCA. Lil Bub also travels around to different animal shelters and the shelters receive a cut of the sales. Lil Bub also lent her fame to a PETA poster to help raise awareness of the necessity to spay and neuter animals.
