Did Marvel Just Insult... Itself?

Because it kind of feels personal... wait what? ;)

Marvel's writing is always on-point. It's either quippy, moving the plot forward or (often) it's a bit of both. Which is why it's so much fun to re-watch these movies and shows. Which is of course what I did with last night's episode of Agent Carter...
[Spoilers for those not up to date on Agent Carter]

Too meta for words.

@ButterflyBlu to be fair, this could have been the show's writers side-eying the movies because apparently we're willing to suspend our disbelief for flying metal men and super-soldiers, but we're not ready for a lady in a solo film

@shannonl5 oh true. Like a "look what WE'RE pulling off, though" kind of moment?

@ButterflyBlu EXACTLY! Despite getting a really crummy time slot (9pm on a Tuesday night, not really prime hours) they're bringing their A-game and they've earned a loyal audience!

It was a funny reference to how comics were viewed. And they used their own character. Kid Colt.

@ThePervySage it did feel a bit self-congratulatory (not that they haven't earned it) like "we showed them" XD
