Hello everyone! It's your friendly neighborhood moderator here and I've been doing some serious thinking. Some serious wondering. Some serious thoughts are happening in my head. And one of those thoughts that keeps breaching the surface of my mind ocean into the mouth world is "What else can I do for the Video Game community that Droid Corp worked so hard to acquire?"
And that's what got me thinking about writing some game reviews. But not just any games, INDIE GAMES!
Most of the time, indie games fall into that visual storytelling area of gaming. And I know that most gamers aren't interested in those kind of games and some like to debate whether or not they are actual "games". But I love them. Every single one of them. I can give you a bunch of reasons but really all I'm going to say is that I'd be glad to play through most, if not all, of the indie games I've bought in the past week (I've bought a lot), play them through and write some in-depth reviews about them.
There wouldn't be any review scores. No numbers. No game play videos (sorry). But just some well thought out, in-depth analyses of the games. The first two I'm willing to try are below.
Three Fourths Home takes place entirely during a car ride. The main character is Kelly, who is driving home, and most of the gameplay involves the way you answer questions when you speak to your friends and family. I only hear positive things about this game, so I can't wait to play it and maybe review it for you guys.
Gone Home has been around for a long time. I've even written cards about it before. But I'm excited to try out the console version on my PS4. I haven't started it yet. But I really want to write a ton about this game for you guys.
I don't know what my main objective here is, by writing these kinds of cards. But I hope to show you guys another side of the gaming world. Most games involve shooting and sports and swords. But there's a totally different side of gaming that most people overlook.
So, would this be something you guys would be interested in? If not? No worries! I'll just play these games on my own time and write in my journal about them and how they affected me. But if you're into it or, at least, open to the idea, let me know in the comments!
