Give your living space a romantic vibe this Valentine's Day with these cute vanilla heart candles. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Artzy Creations.
For this project, you will need:
-- Mason jars
-- Vanilla fragrance oil
-- Microwaveable soy wax
-- Microwaveable bowl
-- Karo syrup
-- Heart sprinkles
-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
You can find all of these items at a craft store.
Assemble the candle
Use the hot-glue gun to glue the wick to the bottom of the mason jar. Then, paint a layer of Kyro Syrup on the inside of the jar. Then, put sprinkles inside the jar. The Kyro Syrup will help the sprinkles stick to the side of the glass rather than all collect at the bottom. Tape a pencil perpendicular to the wick so that it will stay vertical.
Pour in the wax
Melt the wax in the microwave. Stir in fragrance if you want scented candles. Then, pour the wax into the jar. Allow the wax to cool and harden. Then, cut the wick so that there is about half an inch above the wax.
Light the candle and enjoy these cute Valentine's Day candles!
