I've seen a few cards around the community today about people feeling their family or friends don't support them, or people being made fun of by the so-called "friends," and I just wanted to make a card encouraging everyone to remember the lessons our favorite animes have taught us over the years!!!
Be with people who make you happy.
This goes for friendships & romantic relationships both. Of course, every relationship has it's ups and downs, and with happy moments come sad ones, but ultimately if you're surrounded by people who have the potential to make you happy, you're not in a good place.
Sadness can be natural & expected. But the friends who can bring you joy should be the ones you cherish most!! It's not hopeless to care about them!
It's difficult for people to understand what they don't know.
I think a lot of us have had trouble with finding somewhere we fit in, sometimes because of our love of anime, sometimes for other reasons. Remember this: people mock what they do not understand.
Rather than getting angry, try to teach them. If they aren't willing to listen, let them be ignorant to alllll the fun they're missing out on! ;)
When someone blames you, it doesn't mean you are at fault.
When people don't know what to do, they are quick to point fingers and lay blame on others. Just because they need someone to take the blame or someone to take their anger out on does not mean you deserve it. If you're their friend, you can try to be understanding of why they're acting that way.
But don't let someone else push you into feeling guilty for things that are not of your doing!
Sometimes, you have to just let it go.
Cowboy Bebop was the first anime that really taught me this. Getting hung up on revenge and anger will only get you so far, and ultimately, you don't want that angry or negative ambitions to be the ones that shape your life, do you?
Let the positive, not the negative, guide the path that you will take!
