This is my absolute favorite book of all time. The lessons rooted so deeply into its very core are life-changing and eye-opening. There are so many ways to relate to this book, either through the blinding desire to improve, the heart that can't stop loving, the inability to stop controlling, the pain of not knowing who you are, the regret of being too ignorant to see the true worth of the things around you, or the loss of everything you have ever loved. Dickens' spilled his heart into this novel, he spilled his own life into this novel, and because of his vulnerability, we too can draw from the lessons and hardships he writes about, and make our own lives more reflective and wholesome. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is a bit of a long read, but if you do read it, and you really look into the innumerable meanings, lessons, and themes, you will have the desire to live your life better than ever before.

I finished reading The Chimes not to long ago. His prose is astounding.
Such a good book!
I haven't read it in years. I'm sure I own it. You made me want to read it again. I'll have to look for it.
