How adorable is this heart wreath as a way to decorate your home or apartment during the Valentine's Day season? This DIY project will give your living space some love flair just in time for the love holiday. The DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Fynes Designs.
For this project, you will need:
-- A wire coat hanger
-- Pipe insulator
-- Duct tape
-- Yarn in different shades of pink and red
-- Ribbon (optional)
You can find most of these items at a craft store.
Form the wire coat hanger
Use the pliers to form the wire coat hanger into a heart shape. Then, use the scissors to cut a line in the pipe insulator and wrap it around the wire. Use the duct tape to secure the pipe insulator on the coat wire, as shown in the picture above.
Take the yarn and wrap it around your first and second fingers. Then, slip the yarn off of your fingers and wrap another piece of yarn around the middle of the yarn loops. Then, use the scissors to cut through the loops. Take the extra yarn pieces and tie it around the pipe insulator on the wire hanger.
Repeat these steps to make pom-poms that will cover all of the heart wreath. Then, add ribbon to the top of the wreath if you would like to hang it in your living space.
Hang your cute heart wreath up in your living space and enjoy!
