He physically stumbled and looked at her in disbelief. He had known she was fighting being near him but he had never expected her to tell him to leave her alone. He reached out to grab her but stopped himself. “Why?”
She stopped and said in a weak voice. “I don’t like you.” He heard her hiccup and that was all the conformation he needed. She always had the hiccups when she was really upset. He had only heard her cry a few times and they had only been when she was talking to her mother back in the states but every time she cried she would hiccup.
“Why are you lying to me and yourself?” He saw her shoulders jump a bit and he sighed as he walked over and turned her to face him. Gently placing a finger under her chin he made her look up at him. Her tear stained cheeks caused him to frown. “Why go so far as to lie and hurt yourself like this.” He wiped her tears from her cheeks and smiled down at her. “Why do you keep running from me?”
I had tried to hold back the tears, I had tried to ignore my feelings and tell him to leave me be. If we came out as being in a relationship it would only hurt both of our groups as well as ourselves. I had turned to leave but the moment a hiccup escaped I cried harder because I knew there was no way he wouldn’t notice.
Now here I was looking up at him, his eyes so full of questions and me without the resolve to tell him the truth. Why couldn’t I admit it? Why was I lying? Why did I keep running? There were many reasons, I didn’t want to hurt him or the groups, I didn’t want to hurt his or my fans… but the main reason I didn’t want to admit it was what I was most afraid to say. I didn’t want to end up hurt. We both were stars we both had concerts and fans. We both had to be away from one another for months on end. It seemed too much for us to try and keep up a relationship. I hiccupped again and he pulled me closer for a hug. His arms wrapping around me. I couldn’t help but feel like I could melt into his embrace.
“I love you Payj. Don’t end it before it starts, because of a lie.”
That was it. That was all it took. I heard the wall crash into pieces. I felt my arms reach up to hold on to him, the thought of me hurting him by lying was too much to bare. He pulled back and smiled at me like he always did. “Why couldn’t you just let me walk away?” I sighed and buried my face in his chest.
“Because I knew you weren’t doing it because you wanted to.” He gently kissed the top of my head. “And now that I have you here I hope you know I am not letting you get away again.”
I was again amazed at how well he knew me. I wouldn’t be able to lie to him if I wanted to. I pulled away and shook my head. “You are full of yourself aren’t you?”
He chuckled and raised an eye brow. “Full of myself? No, but I am confident I can get you to stay.” He let go of me and started to walk back towards the stairs.
“Where are you going?” I asked moving to catch up with him.
He only turned around and flashed me that damn smile that started this whole thing. “To tell Boss Man to tell the whole world you are mine.” He stuck his tongue at me and ran down the stairs causing me to chase after him.
“Yah! Kookie stop!” I ran down the hall after him passing by Mix It’s practice room where both groups sat trying to figure out how to get the fans to agree to this relationship.
MiMi erupted into giggles and pointed over her shoulder towards the door. “Looks like the tables have turned. Who knew she would end up chasing him in the end.”
Namjoon put his arm around her shoulder and smiled. “He is the golden maknae, he would have gotten her heart eventually.”
Ten Months Later
He smiled as he watched her finish her dance on the stage. Mix It had just won rookie of the year award and performed a song that Payj and he had written. It had been ten months since he and Payj had gotten together and they were still going strong.
He wasn’t going to lie, at first it was tough. The fan’s didn’t want to accept them as a couple but after BitHit put up a youtube show about Mix It and BTS the fans slowly started to come to terms with it. She still refused to flaunt their relationship and whenever he tried to hold her hand or kiss her in public she would scrunch up her face and scold him for PDA.
MiMi and Namjoon finally came out as well. They had been dating longer than Payj and him and the fans were surprised but gave in quickly because they were so perfect together.
Payj walked down from the stage and sat next to him. They had decided to mix up Mix It and BTS’s tables so they could all sit together this year. He remembered the year before at the same award show how he had watched her struggle to walk in her heels and chuckled to himself. She had been so resistant to him then. He had been able to weasel his way into her letting him go with her to the practice room after. He would never forget that night.
Tonight she had agreed to go to the after party but he had something else in mind
He walked hand in hand with her. She had protested when he said they were going out alone tonight but he had talked her into it. As they walked passed the company building she looked at him confused, until a familiar cherry blossom tree came into view. She smiled and laughed as she cocked her head at him.
“Why are we here Kookie?” She asked.
The cherry blossoms had yet to bloom but he walked up and kissed her gently. “It’s the first place I kissed you.” He smirked and looked around the park.
“I know where it is, but why are we here?”
He shrugged. “I wanted to come back to where it all started since it’s almost been a year.”
She made a face and scratched her head. “It’s almost been a year? I thought it’s only been a couple months.”
He chuckled and shook his head. She would never change. She wouldn’t remember 100 day anniversities, yearly anniversities, she had even almost forgotten Christmas. She was still just as passionate about work as alaways but she would at least take time to go out with him when they had the chance. They were still at the beginning of their relationship and he wasn’t sure where they would been in a few years, but he was sure he hoped they were still together. He grabbed her hand and smiled. “Yes Payj it’s almost been a year.”
She scrunched up her face and sighed. “I’m bad at this whole relationship thing.”
He pulled her closer and kissed her again. “No worries, I don’t mind.”
She took a deep breath breathing in his cologne as she always did and buried her head in his chest. “I love you Kookie.”
“I love you too Noona.”
She playfully smacked his chest. “Don’t call me Noona.”
TADA! Finished my first ever FanFic. I hope you all enjoyed it. I am sorry if the fluffy ending was not to your liking. I don't usually do fluffy so that was new. I
Thank you all for reading and I hope you will join me again for my next story. I have decided to do another BTS story but I will not use Kookie again, for now anyways. I will leave a bit of a description after I tag the Loverlys. I have to admit that it is more of a completely fiction piece as there will be a heist, guns, a sassy leader and a group of confused blackmailed boys.
Summary: Nanami may be little, but she is far from fragile. She is witty, sassy, and dangerous. She runs her own group of criminals and has been known to love anything and everything shiny, but she will not pay for any of it. She is a thief, and a good one at that. When some of her boys get captured by the police she has to make up her mind to either cancel the heist or find replacements. Just in time, her new neighbors move in and capture her attention with their raw talent. She decides the heist will continue, but how to get the boys to join? Blackmail of course.
