In a recent radio interview, Selena Gomez finally put those are-the-or-aren't-they rumors to rest concerning her relationship status with the Biebs, saying she's "available in every way." (Get it, girl!)
While there was some talk that she and Justin were together again when he posted a photo of her cuddling up with him on Instagram, Selena is making it super clear that this is so not the case.
We're pretty proud of her for making a statement like this—after all, it's not easy to finally throw in the towel after going back and forth between coupledom and Splitsville. And, in light of Selena's announcement, we called up matchmaker extraordinaire Susan Trombetti to get some advice on when it's time to call it quits for good, in case any of you ladies are dealing with a similar sitch.
Trombetti says that the most common reason women in particular hang on to a relationship—and keep going back to a guy—is because we hope he'll change. And when you find yourself hanging on to an idea of who you want a guy to be, that's a sign you probably need to cut him loose.
"Think of what you want and need, and see if that fits with what he is offering. If not, don’t go back," she says. "You wouldn’t take a job that refused to pay you near what you are worth. Why take a man that won’t give you what you deserve in a relationship?"
