The Brain

Overthinks every little stressful detail in an endless, torturous cycle.
Blames your stress on you.
Encourages you to do things like bang your head against the wall and lay on the floor, quietly sobbing while wallowing in self-pity.

The Heart

Causes inexplicable attachment to people, places and things.
Pines away for things it can't have.
Easily distracted (momentarily) by things like ice cream, chocolate, and more chocolate.

Which one takes control when you're stressed out?

To be honest it's first my heart and then my brain slowly takes over.
My heart tries but my brain beats it to a hopeless pulp.
