Add some chic flair to your office space in your home or apartment with this adorable gold-lined pencil cup. You can also use this cup in your bathroom to hold bathroom essentials. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Damask Love.
For this project, you will need:
-- White spray paint
-- 1/8" Scor-tape or double-sided adhesive tape
-- Rose-gold Minc foil (you can find these at a craft store or online)
-- Glass cup
You can find these items at a craft store.
Paint the glass cup and add adhesive
Take the white spray paint and paint the entire glass cup in a well-ventilated area or outside. You may need to do a couple of coats to make the paint completely opaque. Allow the paint to completely dry after each coat of paint. After the paint has dried, take pieces of the double-sided adhesive and tape them in crossing lines all over the cup.
Apply gold foil
Take the rose-gold Minc foil and wrap it around the glass cup that has the double-sided adhesive. Press it over the cup to make sure the adhesive adheres to the rose-gold foil. Then, slowly and carefully remove the foil. The part that is over the double-sided adhesive will stay on the cup, as shown in the picture above.
Set this chic gold-lined pencil cup up in your living space and enjoy!
