So, let's be real. That red clay, terracotta look on plant pots just doesn't work with a lot of home or apartment decorations. This DIY project adds a classy look to the terracotta pots used for plants. This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at The BeautyDojo.
For this project, you will need:
-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
-- Foam brush
-- White paint
-- Terracotta pot
-- Alphabet stamps
-- Black ink
You can find all of these items at a craft store.
Paint the pot and glue on twine
Use the foam brush to paint the terracotta pot completely white (or any other color). You may need to do a few coats to make the paint completely opaque. Allow the paint to completely dry. Then, use the hot-glue gun to glue twine around the upper lip of the pot in a spiral, as shown in the picture above.
Add letter stamps
There is where you can use your imagination and creativity. Use the letter stamps and black ink to form some sort of message on the front of your terracotta pot.
You can add more details (like a twine ribbon) to the pot, until it looks how you want it to look and it goes with your decorative style.
Fill your cute painted terracotta pot with a nice plant and enjoy!
