I've always wanted to get into the Souls games but I never really knew where to start. I've been told to just pick up Dark Souls 2 as soon as I could and just start there. But I always felt a little weird about it, I mean, shouldn't I play the first one? But that answer has been correct the whole time because now that I saw the opening cinematic trailer for Dark Souls 3, I just picked up Dark Souls 2 as fast as I could.
I didn't want to feel like I'd be missing out because I was to afraid to just jump in the pool. And I didn't want all the kids at the party to make fun of me for not wanting to take off my teeshirt before going into the pool. And I didn't want to feel like an outcast once all of my friends started playing Dark Souls 3.
Anyway, you can check out the trailer below that -- I think -- shows some of the bad guys we can expect in this game.
yI don't really know too much about the Souls series, so I didn't really understand anything that happened in the trailer. But I did understand all the hype I felt boiling in my stomach to play this game eventually. I say "eventually" because I just but Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin and I feel like I'll need a little more time before I pick up the new one.
But do any of you guys play the Souls games? I know @InVinsybll has been playing Bloodborne but what about the rest of you babes? That's right, I called you babes. You beautiful, beautiful babes.
Now that compliments are out of the way, I hope you'll help me with some Dark Souls advice. I'll be taking them in the comments, in messages, and in electronic mail messages!
Dark Souls is without a doubt the hardest and most frustrating game series I've ever played...but it's also one of the most fun, the best advice I can give you to start with, is just persevere, you will die so many times its ridiculous, they barely give you any help on how to do anything, your just thrown in and made to figure it out yourself. Boss fights are going to require you to study the patterns of their behavior so you know when to attack and when to run...yes, you will need to run at times...most times XD seriously though beating the game is one of the most rewarding feelings ever :)
I haven't gotten any of the Souls Games but once I'm done with Bloodborne (or Bloodborne is done with me) I'll be looking into them next.
